Welcome to the historic and romantic Silver Queen, our bed and breakfast in Georgetown, Colorado. This 1892 Victorian Second Empire home is nestled in the Colorado Rockies, just 45 miles west of Denver. Located in the charming 19th Century mining town of Georgetown, widely known as the "Silver Queen of the Rockies", the area has been designated as a National Historic Landmark District. Here you can experience the romance of a bygone era and enjoy the many activities the Colorado mountains have to offer.

The Silver Queen Bed and Breakfast was built in 1892 by Thomas Cornish, a wealthy mine manager and civic leader. It was one of the last of the elegant Victorian homes to be built in Georgetown, and it featured many modern conveniences that were unusual for the times - hot and cold water, gas, electricity, and heating appliances.

Today, the Silver Queen B&B has been extensively updated to provide lodging accommodations with comforts and amenities suitable for the most discerning guests. Your innkeeper, Joyce Jamele, a professional interior designer, has created a beautiful and comfortable home furnished with stunning antiques.

The elegant Parlor features a grand carved fireplace that beckons guests to relax and converse. Overlooking the gardens and spectacular mountain views is the Library/Music Room, where a cozy leather sofa invites you to curl up with a good book or the 1890's piano entices you to sit down and play. A Sitting Room features a flat-screen HD television. You can enjoy your full gourmet breakfast in the formal Dining Room beside a glowing gas coal fireplace or at the antique farm table in the sunny Breakfast Room.

Each of the three guest rooms is furnished in its own unique style - traditional Victorian, charming Country French, soothing Swedish. They are true master suites with a queen-size bed, gas fireplace, writing desk, ceiling fan, ample closet and storage space, and a seating area. Each suite has its own master bath with a jetted tub, 2 vanity sinks with storage, walk-in shower, a separate water closet, and makeup mirror.

Comfortable, romantic, and relaxing, this bed and breakfast has old-world Victorian charm furnished with stunning antiques and modern amenities.

A full gourmet breakfast is prepared each morning. It consists of a main dish (usually with eggs), fresh baked goods, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and milk. We are happy to accommodate some special dietary needs, provided we are notified in advance. Snacks and beverages are available in the afternoon.
