This city wide music festival is proudly presented to you by the Fort Collins Music Association spotlighting 20 venues and 200 bands. If you can’t wait for an amazing weekend of music and friends, pre-sale tickets are on sale now through April 7 for $20 plus BONUS GOODIES! If you don’t get tickets by then, have no fear, you can still buy tickets at Rock ‘N’ Robin’s and various places during the event for $30. For more information on FoCoMX, you can visit their website at www.focomx.focoma.org. You don’t want to miss out on this incredible weekend! We’ll see you there!

Happy 4th of July! 4 Jul 2012, 1:55 pm
This year our guests had the best seat in town for the 4th of July parade! They were able to eat breakfast on the front porch and watch the parade at the same time where they were able to witness the trolley and Uncle Sam in action. The menu for the 4th of July was the Volcano Eggs with muffins, pastries, a fruit platter and a blueberry cobbler. The parade might be done but the festivities over at the Avery House are still going strong. There is live music and fun booths set up so bring your family for a fun 4th of July!

OpenStage Theatre Presents A Child’s Christmas in Wales 12 Dec 2011, 12:19 pm
A CHILD’S CHRISTMAS IN WALES
Adapted from the Short Story by Dylan Thomas
Directed by Bruce K Freestone
“. . . I can never remember whether it snowed for six days and six nights when I was twelve or whether it snowed for twelve days and twelve nights when I was six.”
Dylan Thomas’ classic story takes us on a lyrical journey back to the magic and marvel of boyhood where no two moments were ever alike and life was embraced with belief instead of doubt. The well-loved poet’s soaring language steers the story away from cliché and sets it in a world of tenderness and memory.
“I built a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea.”
“. . . a delectable Christmas treat.” –The Stage

This blast from the past is located in the Basement Suite of 107 Linden Street. Their hours are Wednesday through Thursday 4pm till 10pm, Friday & Saturday 2pm till 11pm and Sunday 1pm till 8pm. Tour de Fat 8 Jun 2011, 7:36 pm
New Belgium Brewing Company is a local brewing Company in Fort Collins, CO. They encourage helping out the environment by using your bike more and your car less. This belief has led them to start the fun-filled Tour de Fat, a cycling festival that promotes taking your bike and ditching your car.
For the past 4 years, 1 participant at the festival has agreed to give up their car for the year and by doing so has received a brand new “New Belgium” bicycle. The Parade of Bikes starts at City Park at 10am, where you pass us by here at the Edwards House and make your way to New Belgium Company. The best thing about the parade of bikes is that everyone is dressed up. One year I was lucky enough to get my picture taken with the Care Bears!!! I am hoping this time to hang with some Smurfs!
This year’s Tour de Fat festival will be is 13 cities including Denver, Chicago, Boise and Austin but nothing beats going to where it all originated in Fort Collins!!! So come along, bring your bike and a great costume on September 3rd, 2011 and join in on one of the biggest cycling festivals around! For more information on the parade route go to http://www.newbelgium.com/events/tour-de-fat.aspx. Hope to see you there!

New West Fest 28 Feb 2011, 11:39 am
Every year in August, Fort Collins host a 3 day music festival called New West Fest. This is where music from all genres, local as well as big time names come out and play on one of the 6 stages that are set up.
This year’s festival kicked it off with Cracker and G Love and Special Sauce performing on Friday night. A number of bands played all throughout the weekend such as Asleep at the Wheel , Bonnie and the Clydes, DnE, Nautical Mile and Tedeschi Trunk Band…. just to name a few.
Luckily for guest staying at the Edwards House, we are located only 2 blocks away from the festivities. Our guests were able to come and go as they please while never having to worry about traffic or parking. We had a few guests that came to Fort Collins for a wedding and were excited to see that they could partake in the festival which added an extra treat for their trip. It was a music-filled weekend and we are excited to see which bands will play at next year’s New West Fest!!
