A complimentary full Southwest style buffet breakfast is served daily in the Main Inn. In addition to fresh fruits, berries, cereals, yogurt, meats, cheeses and tamales, a Regional entree is prepared daily. Breakfast is topped off with fresh roasted coffee, teas and juices. Guests enjoy dining in the dining room or outdoors on the garden patio overlooking Blue Lake.
Relax in the privacy of your accommodation furnished with down pillows and duvets, and a very comfortable bed. Guest rooms have telephones (some with shared lines), televisions, VCRs. We have over 100 complimentary movies, wireless Internet, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and grinders, bathrobes, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards. We've even stocked each accommodation's pantry with fresh roasted coffee beans and a selection of teas. Our guests are looking for a unique private getaway. We have 16 different types of accommodations ranging from southwest style casitas to rustic cabins, so we really have something for everyone.
What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?
We are best known for our award winning garden. We have the Iris Festival the first weekend in June every year where we sell our heirloom bulbs.
If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?
Most people come to visit the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We are 30 minutes to Mesa Verde National Park. Durango has more fine dining restaurant per capita than San Francisco.
What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?
One of the best compliments we ever received was that our photos online didn't do us justice. They were blown away by the beauty of our property.
What’s the best kept secret about the area?
Th best kept secret here is that we are just minutes from National Forests.
If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?
Travelers staying more than a weekend should take a train to Mesa Verde National Park. take a day trip to Silverton, visit Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Park, and spend a day enjoying downtown Durango.
Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?
No, we are located out in the country. We do have groomed trails on our property.
What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?
The Kennebec Cafe and The Palace Restaurant

We have 16 different accommodations: Southwest Style Casitas, a Rustic Cabin, Victorian Country Style Rooms, and a Restored Barn. Our newest accommodation is The Riverhouse, a renovated large homestead cottage on the banks of the river and 80 acres.

The Ridgewood Event Center is located in scenic La Plata River Valley of southwestern Colorado, minutes from Durango and Cortez, Colorado and Farmington and Aztec, New Mexico. It's a breathtaking high country setting for Durango weddings and other special events. The tall windows of the Ridgewood's stone and pine structure offer panoramic views of snow capped mountains, green meadows, 100 year old cottonwoods, and acres of our flower gardens.

In addition to 1,500 square feet of interior space with expansive 12' high ceilings, the Center has a 1,000 square foot covered portal. Our catering kitchen allows food to be kept at appropriate temperatures and served in professional style. Ridgewood is wheelchair accessible and has parking for up to 150 cars. Rental of the Ridgewood Event Center includes the use of our tables, maple chairs, all linens, glassware, silverware, and china. Our experienced staff is committed to making your event a success. After we meet with you to review your plans, we take care of all the details from setup to cleanup - we're there behind the scenes to make sure that everything runs smoothly.

How to Find Us
Directions: To protect the privacy of our guests, there is no highway signage for the Ranch. Use your odometer to find our gravel driveway.
From the North, East or West: Take Highway 160 to Hesperus. Go south on Highway 140 6.5 miles to find our driveway on the right.
From the South: Go North on Highway 170 in New Mexico, which changes to Colorado Highway 140 at the state line. The Ranch is 16.9 miles north of the state line (0.9 miles north of the 16 mile marker). The driveway is on the left.
The Sunrise Casita
This spacious Casita enjoys mountain views from its covered portal as well as the living room with fireplace, queen sofa bed and wetbar. The plantation shuttered bedroom has a king bed. The sunny bathroom has a walk-in shower and a whirlpool tub. Winter $155 - Spring $185 - Summer $225 - Fall $205
