    We are the perfect destination to help you slow down and enjoy all that the small town mountain life has to offer. Surrounded by mountains and located downtown, the Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of more than 25 restaurants and bars. We are only two blocks from the free mountain ski shuttle that drops you off and picks you up at the base of the slopes.

    		 Once a historic mining office we now have five cozy bedrooms, all with private bathrooms and most with mountain views. Our new Day Spa will send you to the heavens with their body treatments and massage services. Wake up each day to the aromas of a full home cooked breakfast. And to help you conclude your perfect day of adventures, come home and soak in our outdoor hot tub while gazing at a night sky so clear you can see the Milky Way.

    Our guest rooms have private baths and spectacular mountain views! Located on the second floor, each room is named after the mountain view seen from the room. Also on the second floor, guests have access to a refrigerator, purified water dispenser, coffee maker, and microwave for use at any time of the day or night.

    The Whetstone Room This unique Crested Butte lodging room offers a Queen Bed, TV with VCR and DVD, Private Bath with Claw Foot Tub and Separate Shower Stall, and Private Balcony. Located to the south of our home, the Whetstone range tops out at 12,516 feet. The Whetstone room is the largest of all the rooms. This suite offers many amenities for its guests. After a day of activity, guests can relax on a private balcony overlooking the Whetstone range. Then, one can soak in a bath in the antique claw foot tub. With a sitting area in the room, guests can relax inside and watch cable television, which features Crested Butte's local extreme sport channel. A queen bed and full bath complete the well-lit room.
    The Twin Buttes Room This lodging room offers a Queen bed, Sitting Area, TV with VCR and Private Bath with Shower Stall. The white granite pinnacles of Gothic and Crested Butte mountains are considered sister mountains, also known as the Twin Buttes. With Gothic rising to 12,625 feet and Mt. Crested Butte rising to 12,162 feet, both mountains reveal a stunning view and challenging hikes for all. One of our favorite guests room, the Twin Buttes room overlooks both of these well-known peaks as well as the northern mountain range. The small sitting area gives guests a place to relax in their room after a long day of activities. The room is complete with a queen bed and private bath.
    The Crested Butte Room This lodging room offers a Queen bed, TV with VCR and Private Bath with Shower Stall. The heart of the town thrives around the adventurous challenges and scenic beauty that Mt. Crested Butte offers. At 12,162 feet, the mountain is alive with many activities both in the summer and winter. Our Crested Butte room overlooks this mountain from its astounding base up to its uniquely shaped peak. A queen bed and private bath complete this room for the guests' comfort.
    The Paradise Divide Room This lodging room offers a Queen bed, TV with VCR, and Private Bath with Tub and Shower combination. Off to the left of your room's view, Paradise Divide winds up a valley between Mt. Cinnamon and Mt. Baldy. Its unique design makes this room one of the owner's favorite rooms. Slanted ceilings and a sink set in an antique piece of furniture create a cottage feel to the Paradise Divide room. The immense Mt. Crested Butte stands outside of the room's view as well. The room completes itself with a queen bed and full bath.
    The Red Lady Room This lodging room offers a Full Size bed, TV with VCR, and Private Bath with Shower Stall. Red Lady's Bowl on Mt. Emmons, which reaches heights of 12, 392 feet, lends its brilliant red hue to the Crested Butte area. Many true adventurers hike Mt. Emmons during the winter to enjoy powder skiing through the section known as Red Lady. Our Red Lady room offers adventurers a small yet cozy place to retreat after a long day of playing in the vast wilderness of Crested Butte. A full-sized bed and private bath complete the room.

    Cancellation & Policies
    • A deposit of half of your total reservation costs are due when setting up the reservation.
    • There is a $10 charge for cancellations a month or more before your arrival date.
    • Deposits are non-refundable when cancellations are made less than a month before the date of your arrival unless we are able to rebook the room.
    • In which case you will only be charged the $10 cancellation fee.
    • Reservation balances are due on the day of your arrival.
    • We do not except children under the age of 12 years old.
