    Conveniently located in South Park between Alma and Fairplay, Colorado and 17 miles south of Breckenridge, we provide central access to all of the area's major attractions; yet still give the feeling of complete privacy with no distractions.

This quiet and private retreat offers spectacular mountain views and clean mountain air away from the city routine. Alma Colorado offers great outdoor mountain activities and is minutes from great skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and much more. Our Bed and Breakfast is a warm comfortable lodge with beautifully decorated rooms. All the modern amenities in a mountain living setting.

    Mountain Comfort Bed and Breakfast is just two hours away from Denver but offers a serene, breathtakinig setting for honeymoons, romantic getaways or any kind of retreat.
     




    Each room is beautifully decorated with log furniture made of aspen and pine.

    The fireplace offers a peaceful place to rest at the end of a hectic day of playing in the mountains. A Jacuzzi stands ready to relax and revitalize those sore muscles from a day of frolicking in the mountains. And the softest, coziest, bathrobes await to wrap you up as you step from the Jacuzzi.
     

     

     




    The home is equipped with in floor heat so you will always feel warm and cozy, even for the middle of the night trips to the bathroom.

    The most delectable breakfast is served every morning from 8:00-10:00 in the dining room, or for an extra fee, delivered to your bedroom door. (An equally delicious bedtime snack is also available.) The dining table and chairs are made of local pine and aspen to give a truly rustic feeling. Mountain Comfort is a great place to plan a family reunion.
     


    The Lower Great Room offers a community fireplace, a game table and a coffee nook to enjoy sitting and chatting with friends, new and old. The Loft offers a grand view, a big screen TV and plenty of space to stretch out and find comfort in a good movie or just visit. The 20 foot cathedral ceilings, the view from the upstairs Great Room and the fireplace creates an atmosphere of relaxation, peace and tranquility. Turn on the fireplace, kick back with a good book and get comfortable sipping on a cup of latte, cappuccino, tea or your favorite beverage from the Coffee Nook. Or bring your laptop and connect into the wireless network available throughout the facility. (A PC is available for your convenience.)

    Breakfasts will include the following: Omelets with a variety of fried potatoes Waffles, French Toast, or Pancakes and always available Yogurt, Muffins, Choice of juices, Milk, Coffee, Cappuccino, Tea and fruit salad. (We'll get more fancy as we become more experienced innkeepers)

    When your special day stretches into the eve, the facility’s beauty, and the dusting of stars across the illimitable heavens continue to lend its majesty and beauty.

    Take in the gorgeous views from the Upper Great Room.  The sunrises in the morning are breathtaking. This room allows for the gathering of the friends and family before, and after the wedding.

    Breathe in that mountain air, take in the warm sunshine and look out to see the  white snow  capped peaks. Walk down “The Pathway of Love” to the gazebo and take forever the hand of that special man.

    Enjoy the peace and quiet of each room uniquely decorated with a different theme. Enjoy the private bathroom, Jacuzzi, flat screen TV, fireplace, robes, and Bath & Body products.

    Groups are limited to 60 individuals. Additional nights may be purchased and self-sufficient campers or extra sleepers are an additional $50 per night, per person. Additional lodging available in nearby motels.

    Park County offers many outdoor recreation choices including Burning Bear Trail, Black Bear Trail, Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area, Horse Trails, Eleven Mile State Park Cross Country Ski Trails, and so much more.

    • The Pike National Forest brings hunters from all over the world to find their trophy elk or deer.
    • South Park, or Fairplay as it is also called, is known as the capital of trout fishing in Colorado.
    • ATV enthusiasts love riding the many hundreds of miles of off road trails through the mountainous terrain.
    • Mountain climbers can try their endurance on the 14ners and the 13,000 foot peaks or those who prefer a stroll through the woods can follow the mountain range on a less challenging walk.
    • Mountain biking is a staple outdoor activity in the summer and cross country skiing or snow shoeing in the winter. Enthusiasts come from all over the country to ride, walk, ski the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
    • Lovers of white water rafting can be shuttled to the mighty Colorado River for a fun filled, adrenaline stimulated day or nearby stables allow for guided outings that offer the finest panoramic views the area has to offer.
    • For the history buff, Fairplay hosts, South Park, a western town comprised of oldest buildings in Park County, fully furnished. Visitors come from the world over to see how the west really was won.
    • Park County is also home to some of the oldest trees in the world; the bristlecone pine. Some of these trees are upwards of 2000 years.
