MacArthur Place - Sonoma's Historic Inn & Spa

Set among the inn's magnificent gardens, each of MacArthur Place's 64 spacious and sumptuously appointed guest rooms, suites and cottages are individually designed. Each of our guestrooms and suites feature down comforters, European walk-in showers, color televisions, in-room CD and DVD players with ipod connection, our own line of grape seed bath amenities, plush terry robes, hair dryers, iron and ironing boards, two-line phones with dataport and voice mail, in-room refreshment centers with refrigerators, coffee makers with house-blend coffee, and twice daily maid service including evening turndown.

Our suites are individually designed and appointed to provide the ultimate in relaxation and comfort during your stay. Each of our five types of suites offers its own unique set of special features. The difference between Standard and Deluxe Suites is Deluxe Suites offer interior views of the grounds and gardens, and our Standard Suites have exterior property views.

Rainshower Deluxe Suite

 The distinguishing feature of our four deluxe Rainshower Suites are the European Perrin & Rowe showers. These suites come in two styles. We are the first hotel in the U.S. to offer these unique showers that have 14" diameter rainshower heads and full-body side sprays. In addition to the amenities on our main rooms page, each of our deluxe Rainshower Suites offers a king-sized bed with a separate sitting area, Sony WEGA flat-screen television, DVD-CD player with six-speaker surround-sound, wood-burning fireplace, wet bar, refrigerator, original artwork, oversized bathroom, two-line cordless phone with dataport, and front porch overlooking the gardens.

In addition to the amenities on our main rooms page, each of our luxury suites offers a king-sized bed and a separate sitting area, Sony WEGA flat-screen television, DVD-CD player with six-speaker surround-sound, wood-burning fireplace, wet bar, refrigerator, original artwork, oversized bathroom with forty-jet hydrotherapy tub, two-line cordless phone with dataport, and porch or balcony overlooking the gardens.

The Burris Suite, located in the Manor House is the original master suite. In addition to the amenities listed on our main rooms page, the Burris Suite offers a king-sized bed with separate sitting area, fireplace, large bathroom with European walk-in shower and claw-foot soaking tub, large wisteria-covered balcony overlooking the gardens, original art and a wet bar.

Our Garden Spa Suites are the Inn's most spectacular and unique accommodations, perfect for a special occasion, romantic getaway or spa retreat. Our Garden Spa suites are duplex units that have luxurious furnishings, cathedral ceilings and shutters that open to reveal the hydrotherapy tub to the rest of the suite and the fireplace. Each suite has its own private garden, with outdoor rain shower and teak wine soaking tub housed in an intimate teahouse that overlooks a soothing waterfall.

Each Garden Spa Suite offers a wood-burning fireplace, home theatre experience with a 37" Sharp Aquos LCD television and DVD player with 6-speaker surround and ipod connection, refrigerator with in-room refreshment center, wet bar, oversized bathroom with 40-jet hydrotherapy tub and large European walk-in shower, private outdoor garden with teak wine soaking tub and outdoor rain shower, original art, cordless 2-line phone with dataport and front porch overlooking the gardens.

Our Cabana Suites are our newest accommodations and offer a luxurious indoor / outdoor environment. Each Cabana Suite has its own private garden with outdoor seating, fountain and outdoor rain shower housed in a tented cabana. Each Cabana Suite offers a wood-burning fireplace, home theatre experience with a 37" Sharp Aquos LCD television and DVD player with 6-speaker surround sound and ipod connection, refrigerator with in-room refreshment center, wet bar, oversized bathroom with 40-jet hydrotherapy tub and large European walk-in shower, private garden with an outdoor rain shower, original art, cordless 2-line phone with dataport and front porch overlooking the gardens.

Our premium Suites are some of the Inn's most romantic accommodations, perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary or other special occasion. Our Premium Suites are duplex units that have cathedral ceilings and shutters that open to reveal the hydrotherapy tub to the rest of the suite and the fireplace.

Each Premium Suite offers a wood-burning fireplace, home theatre experience with Sony WEGA 27" flat-screen television and DVD-CD player with six-speaker surround sound and ipod connection, refrigerator with in-room refreshement center, wet bar, oversized bathroom with hydrotherapy tub, original art, cordless two-line phone with dataport and front porch overlooking the gardens. Also included is a complimentary continental breakfast buffet, nightly wine and cheese reception, complimentary DVD movies from the Library and free parking.

Cottages

Our two individual cottages are our most private accommodations, perfect
for an intimate couple's retreat or for the VIP of your meeting.

Each Cottage offers wood-burning fireplace, home theatre experience with a Sharp Aquos 37" LCD television and DVD-CD player with six-speaker surround sound and ipod connection, refrigerator with in-room refreshment center, wet bar, oversized bathroom with hydrotherapy tub, original art, cordless two-line phone with dataport and front porch overlooking the gardens.
