  • Introduction

Just 35 miles north of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, venture into California's beloved Sonoma Wine Country. The air changes as you drive west toward Sebastopol and the farms, forests and vineyards of famously fun and fabulous West Sonoma County and the gorgeous hills and valleys of the Russian River Valley. The charming bohemian town of Sebastopol is a short five miles from Avalon with restaurants and shops galore. Now cross the wooden bridge and enter the enchanted land of Avalon. There you will be surrounded with luxury at this wonderful, secluded B&B nestled in the majestic redwoods.

From this B&B you can visit hundreds of wineries, select from countless world-class wines and enjoy breathtaking and tranquil views. Avalon offers the privacy of only three guest rooms on acres of unspoiled forest with a year-round natural creek. It's awesome to spend the night in the forest listening to the owls hoot and wake up so close to wine tasting and all kinds of fun. Avalon provides quick access for many activities other than wine tasting, as well, including the Armstrong Redwoods State Preserve, the Pacific Ocean, the Russian River, Bodega Bay and other beautiful beaches, many relaxing and rejuvenating spas, horseback riding, hiking, cycling, hot air ballooning, golfing, mountain biking, museums, restaurants and shopping, to name a few.

Avalon Bed & Breakfast Hosts are the new friends you haven't met yet!

In the land of Faerie, anything is possible. You will sleep with sweet dreams of flight and fancy in the elegant king size beds piled high with luxury linens. Our exquisite suites are the ultimate place for a fantasy getaway because they were custom-built for bed & breakfast guests, not converted from existing bedrooms. The unique decor and original hand-painted murals on the walls allow you to step into another world. Open your windows or sit in the garden hot tub and listen to Purrington Creek gently relax and charm you with its melodious voice -- Avalon is just what you had in mind.

"The road to this charming Tudor-style bed-and-breakfast passes through sunlit meadows and groves of trees, but you might be convinced that it actually travels back in time: with its magical themes and deeply forested, mist-shrouded setting, this property seems to emerge from a romantic legend." -- Best Places to Kiss
