Guests are sure to experience turn-of-the-century charm by the sea at this delightful Santa Barbara B & B. The Inn opened in 1980 as Santa Barbara's first bed and breakfast and is housed in two historic homes. The original house is a 1912 California Craftsman originally built on the beach boulevard. In the 1920's it was used as the Santa Barbara Yacht Club. The house was moved to its current location in 1928. It is the only bed and breakfast in Santa Barbara with a beach location.

The Hitchcock House offers five guest rooms on the ground level with private entrances and two extra large romantic suites upstairs. The rooms are named after the Innkeeper's families and are highlighted with historic photos and memorabilia.

The menu book, filled with information from favorite local restaurants is available, and the innkeepers will make recommendations and reservations. Freshly baked cookies are also available! From north or south, reaching the Old Yacht Club Inn is a breeze:

1. Take Highway 101 to the Cabrillo Blvd. Exit (exits highway from the left lane).
2. Then turn west on Cabrillo, and continue past the bird refuge to Corona Del Mar Drive, the street between the Radisson Hotel and the Cabrillo Inn.
3. Turn right and proceed to the Old Yacht Club Inn at number 431.
