A Martine Inn Winemaker Dinner is a truly unique and memorable experience. Martine Inn Winemaker Dinners are the kind of taste, pairing combinations, atmosphere, service, table setting and etiquette experience you?ll remember for a lifetime. 1st We start with the Winemaker selecting 5 ? 7 of his finest wines. 2nd Our committee tastes the wines and creates the pairings. 3rd Each winemaker dinner menu is custom designed to pair the 5 - 7 courses with specially selected wines. Recipes are created to complement the Winemaker?s choice of wines. We have no regular menu so all food pairings are created solely to go with that wine. All food is purchased and prepared fresh for that evening?s event only. 4th The silver service is truly amazing. The flatware set, Lancaster Rose, made by Gorham in 1896 has 40 pieces to a place setting. Tables are lace covered and the ocean view dining room includes a wood-burning fireplace. Each wine is served in a distinctly different glass to compliment that wine. 5th Everything is cooked individually and served within 30 seconds of being plated. Special care is made to create inviting and colorful presentations on each plate. 6th An introduction of the Winemaker and his winery is made. You will learn how to tell what silverware is used to eat with what food and some of the etiquette standards of the late 1800?s that we currently follow. 7th Between courses the Winemaker will explain the particular wine he has chosen and the special qualities he sees in it. The result of this caring process is a seamless presentation of food and wine that is visually exciting, a delight to the palate, fresh, hot and served in a style known only to the wealthy one hundred or more years ago.
