    Acacia House, a small and private inn located in the upscale residential of the Upper Rockridge District of Oakland, California, provides a gracious and peaceful base for the guest who is traveling personally or professionally. Conveniently located to Rockridge District shops, cafes, coffee houses, restaurants, and public transportation.

    Acacia House was designed & built in the Italianate style for the host in 1994 & is noted for its magnificent Oakland hills views, soaring ceilings and grand windows. This one of a kind home is graced by native California live oak trees & an occasional Acacia.

    A security gate opens onto a winding walkway with stairs that leads you through a hand-made Australian cherry & lace wood door & welcomes you into a plant-filled atrium adjacent to the Acacia Suite. The Acacia Suite affords the utmost in privacy and comfort. The sitting room bedroom, and private bath are furnished in antiques and art collected from around the world. A wet bar with a microwave, mini-refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker is available for limited use.

    Enjoy the utmost in privacy and comfort in this gracious two room suite featuring a spacious sitting room with wet bar, comfortable sofas, desk, & a private entry. The bedroom is furnished in Belgian antiques with a queen-sized bed. Private bath with shower. $150 per night plus tax with a 2 night minimum single or double occupancy.

    Upstairs Guest Room

    The Upstairs Guest Room, located on the third floor of Acacia House, features a fabulous view and is furnished in Belgian antiques with a balcony overlooking the living room. This room has a private bath with shower and features Kohler fixtures. $125 per night plus tax with a 2 night minimum single or double occupancy.

    Your Hostess

    Your host, Brenda Reed, is a world traveler, collector of unique art & furnishings. With roots in Virginia & Tennessee, she cherishes her Southern heritage. Her co-host, Rollie (a handsome rescued golden retriever), will enjoy leading you on a walk around the neighborhood and will gladly give you lots of love if invited.
