Pure and Simple Luxury
Napa Valley, a world-renowned travel destination, is famous for its food, culture, and of course, its wineries and vineyards. It is also known for its legendary hospitality, and the Beazley House Bed and Breakfast has been setting the bar for over 33 years.
Comprising a 112 year old mansion, regal landscaping, its Carriage House, and 11 exquisite guest rooms, the Beazley House has been a long time favorite for downtown Napa lodging, voted Napa’s Best B&B for 11 years in a row. You don’t have to be a travel expert to see why: its over half-acre of luscious lawns and gardens, its hospitable amenities, and its unmistakable degree of service and modest luxury speak to its popularity. You’ll find a completely personalized experience staying at the Beazley House, pampered by two person spa whirlpool tubs and delightful breakfasts featuring freshly made muffins or breads, hot entrées, house made granola and a generous selection of fruits, tea, and the Beazley Blend coffee.
Of course, Napa is well-known for its Wine and attractions, and the Inn’s original owners, Carol and Jim Beazley, are happy to help navigate a successful trip through its sights and sounds. From the Napa Valley Wine Train, to Ferryboat rides into San Francisco, and the spectacular Oxbow Market, the Beazley House Bed and Breakfast is an ideal place to stay while exploring the best the California Wine Country has to offer.
“Now you have friends in Napa.” Is much more than just a “tagline” for a descriptor of the Beazley House, it’s a fact. The Beazley House has been hosting happy (& RETURNING) guests for 33 years. It is literally Napa’s first B&B inn and the ONLY inn still run by its original owners: Carol and Jim Beazley.
The Inn consists for a 112 year old mansion, surrounded by lawns and gardens and its Carriage House and has 11 guest rooms. If this were Europe, the Beazley House would be considered a “Boutique Hotel” not a traditional B&B. That’s because of its level of personal service and amenities as well as its private, ensuite bathrooms, two person spa whirlpool tubs and delicious, gourmet breakfast. But much better than a hotel, the Beazley House is quieter, offers personalized tour service and a setting of understated elegance. The inn’s gardens and location are unsurpassed in Napa. It has earned the reputation of being the most photographed inn in Napa.
The Beazley House is ideally located in the California Wine Country just one hour north of San Francisco. This B&B is so much more than a hotel; it's more like having a friend with intimate knowledge of the Napa Valley. The Beazleys will direct you to wineries, wine tours, the Napa Valley Wine Train, hot air balloon rides and spas. They will even book your dinner reservations at one of the many Napa restaurants within walking distance of their inn. For small weddings in the ultimate vacation/resort destination that is Napa, there is no better location than the Beazley House. The town of Napa is surrounded by vineyards where you can go wine tasting, take a bike tour or play a round of golf at championship courses.
Beazley House is one of the most photographed historic landmarks in Napa.

"Napa's first bed and breakfast, and its still the best...you'll sense the hospitality as you stroll the walk past verdant lawns and bright flowers..." - The Annual Directory of American Bed & Breakfasts
The Beazley House, a wonderful circa 1902 mansion, was founded in 1981 in historic old town Napa by Carol and Jim Beazley, Napa's first innkeepers. "Some of our friends thought we were nuts, but the only thing we were afraid of was not getting the chance to try," says Carol. "We sold everything we owned to make the down payment." And the rest is history. "The inn sits on over a half an acre of lawns and gardens, and is an easy walk to Napa's gourmet restaurants and wine tasting rooms," Jim said.
The Beazleys have always been quick to add the amenities which they found their guests desired. By 1989 all of the ten guest rooms had private baths. Six of the rooms have fireplaces and five have private, two-person spas. Carol and Jim continue to personally manage the inn.
The Beazleys are involved in the Napa community. Jim has twice been President of the Napa Valley Conference and Visitors' Bureau and currently sits on Destination Napa Valley's Board of directors. He is also active in one of the local Rotary clubs.
Jim & Carol have been active in Napa's community of innkeeping helping organize the Historic Inns of Napa. They are founding members of the statewide organization the California Association of Boutique and Breakfast Inns (CABBI) and charter members of the Professional Association of Innkeepers International.
For breakfast you'll find a delicious buffet of fresh-baked muffins or breads, with perhaps a crustless quiche or some other hot gourmet treat. There will always be a variety of fresh fruits with yogurt, House made granola and sweet orange juice and a selection of teas and the Beazley House blend of coffee. It's over breakfast that guests are guided to the best the Wine Country has to offer, including special, hidden places known only to the innkeepers.
