    Artist Thomas Kinkade once painted this romantic retreat on the Mendocino Coast. Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse is an historic Mendocino bed and breakfast inn offering full gourmet breakfasts and beautifully furnished accommodations.

    John Dennen built the Victorian Farmhouse in 1877 for himself, his wife Dora, and their family. It is operated year round as a romantic Mendocino lodging by new owners, Jo Bradley and Fred Cox. They offer affordable luxury from elegant linens and big fluffy towels to a full gourmet breakfast served to your room each morning.

    Breakfast can consist of quiches, stratas, eggs benedicts, strudels, and frittatas, accompanied by fresh fruits and juices, homemade muffins and breads, and their signature coffee. Jo and Fred also pride themselves on catering to their guests' special dietary needs.

    This beautiful bed and breakfast in Mendocino is comprised of four buildings on two beautiful acres. The Main House offers two room suites and rooms and a lovely parlor where you can enjoy Home is Where the Heart is II, a painting of the farmhouse by well-known painter Thomas Kinkade. These rooms are formally decorated with your comfort in mind.

    The second building includes the original Carriage House, as well as other cottage style rooms. They all have wood burning fireplaces and feather beds.

    Tucked behind the other buildings of this Little River, CA bed and breakfast, the third building, affectionately known as the Barn, offers quiet seclusion in the Mendocino Suite.

  • How To Find Us

    From the South
    From Highway 101 at Cloverdale, take Highway 128 West.
    Follow Highway 128 west until it reaches the mouth of the Navarro River at the Pacific Ocean.
    It will take an hour to an hour and a half to get to the end of Highway 128 W. at the ocean.
    Highway 128 W. ends at the Navarro River Bridge where it disappears into Highway 1.
    Follow Highway 1 about 7 miles north to 7001 North Highway 1 — the Victorian Farmhouse.
    From the North
    From Highway 101 at Leggett take Highway 1. There is only one turn off to take.
    Follow Highway 1 west and then south to Fort Bragg.
    It will take about 45 minutes to an hour to reach Fort Bragg.
    Continue south about 11 more miles (about 15 minutes) passing Mendocino to just below Little River and the Victorian Farmhouse.
    Another option from Highway 101
    From Willits take Highway 20 west to Fort Bragg.
    It will take about one hour to get to the end of Highway 20 at Highway 1.
    Turn left and take Highway 1 south about 15 minutes (11 miles) passing Mendocino to just below Little River and the Victorian Farmhouse.
    Flying into the Mendocino area
    The Mendocino County Airport is in Little River (048, SFO Sectional).
    It has a mile long VFR runway. Please call the airport for current information at (707) 937-5129.
    Rental cars and public transportation are available there.
