Gather in the dining room for our family-style breakfasts, all fresh and home-made. Our gourmet coffee by Mariposa Coffee Company is freshly roasted and ground. Feel free to wander the park-like grounds on seven acres. Dip your toes in the seasonal creek, admire the meadow views, trees and wildlife from the front porch, or just doze in the hammock.

Serving a full breakfast is our favorite part of being innkeepers. Everything is home-made and cooked with fresh ingredients that are often organic and purchased from neighbors.

Black walnuts from the many trees on Meadow Creek Ranch are added to our muffins and Blueberry Walnut Pancakes. We serve fresh, mixed fruit every morning. In season, we get berries from the 49'er Family Farm a mile away. This is also the home of Mariposa Coffee Company where we get freshly roasted beans. We only buy a pound at a time, so they are often still warm when we get them home for your coffee. It's a fun place to see how coffee is roasted, pick your own fruit and chat with the proprietor, Gerry Caputo.

Breakfast time in the main house is flexible, served between 7:30 to 9:30 AM to allow you to get an early start, sleep in, or join other guests for family style dining. One time we had a couple from an hour's drive away getting to know a couple from County Cork, Ireland. We always ask & provide for any special diet needs & preferences such as vegetarian, low fat, or diabetic. In fact, Diana being a registered nurse has often been a great help to guests.

We love cooking together, and then enjoy chatting with you and offering any help to make your stay a wonderful experience.

    Your Hosts, The Wilcoxens

Willie and Diana are San Francisco Bay area refugees, having moved to Mariposa in 1998. Willie retired from aerospace in 2008, Diana is a home-health nurse.

Willie admits to having an acute case of 'antique pox' and their home gives ample evidence. Their accumulation of antique furniture, cast iron cookware, olde tools and automobilia is a tour in itself.

Although they both love the the slower pace of the Sierra foothills, they have found a wealth of things to do and see in Mariposa. The art galleries, Sixth Street Cinema, summer concerts in town, good restaurants and local wineries keep them 'in county' more than they expected! All this and the year round wonders of Yosemite ensure that they are neve board.

When not serving guests or working the grounds, the innkeepers' passion is travel. With several cross-country jaunts and more than a dozen trips to Europe and Central America, they love to receive guests from all over the globe, get out the maps and 'shrink the world' a bit.

Over one Christmas, they visited their son in Germany, who is spending was year there with friends they met while waiting for a bus in the Yucatan over 25 years ago. While there, they visited a family that came to Meadow Creek Ranch the previous summer. It seems that they lived only 30 minutes from their friends on the Rhine river. To Willie and Diana, this is what being an innkeeper is all about.
