Located along the Pacific Coast Bike Route, between Santa Cruz and Monterey, the historic Flora Vista Inn is nestled among lush flower and strawberry fields, a short walk from spectacular beaches.
Each of our intimate and romantic guest rooms feature wireless Internet, private bathrooms (some with two-person spa tubs), gas fireplaces, comfortable beds and sweeping vistas. The great room offers guidebooks and maps for use in planning your activities on the Monterey Bay.
We offer hearty breakfasts, afternoon refreshments, and feature two, tournament quality, clay tennis courts.
The Flora Vista Inn was originally a farmhouse built in 1867 by Frederick Thurwachter, a German immigrant farmer. It is a replica of Abraham Lincoln's Springfield home and was the first neo-Georgian-style house built in the Pajaro Valley. In 1997 it was moved six miles along San Andreas Road to its present two-acre location and renovated into a charming, estate quality home while retaining the warm and cozy feel of the old farmhouse. The greater Monterey Bay area offers a wealth of activity and discovery. While great beaches are walking distances, restaurants, shopping, theater, aquariums, museums, golf, wineries and a variety of nightlife are a short drive north and south of Flora Vista Inn. Day trips include Napa Valley wine country, San Francisco and spectacular Big Sur.
