From the moment you enter the Mill Rose Inn you’ll recognize this is a place like no other. If the gardens are luxuriant, the Inn is no less so. Valuable antiques and watercolors, opulent decor and period furnishings create an ambiance of relaxed elegance. This unique environment is the creation of Eve and Terry Baldwin. Eve’s background in interior and floral design and wedding coordination combine with Terry’s in landscape architecture in 1980 to convert an old 1900’s cottage into the finest Bed and Breakfast Inn on the Coastside.
Half Moon Bay retains the flavor of its farming origins amid the sophistication of a blossoming resort. At the Inn ’s doorstep hiking and biking trails in redwood forests, chain of secluded beaches, unique shops, wine tasting and extraordinary art galleries. Set in almost an acre of spectacular gardens bursting with color all year, this fragrant oasis features hundreds of perennials, annuals and more that two hundred rose bushes. A tropical flower filled gazebo shelters an intimate spa. A gourmet breakfast is delivered to your room, served in the dining room or offered "al fresco" in either of our garden courtyards. The menu includes fresh juices, fruit, French pastries, home made breads, crepes, omelets or quiche and your choice of beverages.
Relax in distinctively decorated rooms and suites, each with a private entrance, & European antiques, all but one have hand-painted fireplaces, and claw foot tubs. Tucked away you'll find Cable TV, VCR's, stereos, wireless Internet access, a video library, phones, complimentary well-stocked refrigerators and Japanese dressing robes.

- Unfortunately we cannot accept pets at the Inn.
- Room rates are for single or double occupancy, $30.00 for each additional person. Rates are subject to change without notice and to current city occupancy tax (currently at 12%)
- A two night minimum stay applies only when a Saturday is requested. (Mon.-Fri or Sun. may be considered one-night stays.) The higher rate applies to weekends, (Fri., Sat., Sun.) and holidays.
- Full payment is due at the time reservations are made.
- We accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and Discover. A personal check will be accepted to prepay your reservation and needs to be received within seven days.
- We regret that we can no longer give refunds. Full room credit will be given and rooms are to be rebooked within the next six months. When charging reservations to rebook, please call at least seven days prior to your reservation date.
- Gift certificates are available for all occasions.
- We offer Wedding Reception & Conference packages.
Since 1982 we have specialized in English Country Garden Weddings and Receptions for 20 to 150 guests. We also offer exquisite honeymoon suites and California weddings for gay couples. Through the expert guidance of the Mill Rose Inn Wedding Coordinator your fantasy Wedding will become a reality. With our assistance, the Bridal Couple can relax and be assured that their special day will be perfect and will be remembered by all.
The Mill Rose Inn offers a full service program for the bride with an emphasis on helping her personalize her wedding. Our expertise and resources ensure that every detail is perfect. We will help plan everything from the start to finish whether you work with our preferred list of vendors or provide your own. A comfortable stress-free environment, good communication and unobtrusive service make for productive meetings at the Mill Rose Inn. Our conference facilities couldn’t be farther from the office in tranquility yet we’re only 30 minutes from San Francisco and its airport, Palo Alto and the heart of Silicon Valley. That’s why for more than 20 years we have successfully provided overnight and meeting accommodations for such groups as Oracle, Genetech, Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, PacBell, Levi Strauss and Stanford University Medical Center.
When the day’s work is done, walk to one of a dozen great restaurants or browse boutiques and galleries just up the street in the historic Old Town. There are two championship golf courses overlooking the ocean nearby, hiking and biking trails along the coast or in a redwood forest and, of course, the comfort of our spa and garden nooks. Our conference coordinator will be happy to help plan your event at the Mill Rose Inn and to make dinner reservations or lay on a barbecue, arrange bus or limousine charters -- in short, leave you free to get on with business, confident that your meeting will be a success.
