Inn at Moonlight Beach - Encinitas, CaliforniaWelcome To My Lovely Beach Inn Palm Trees, Sandy Beaches and the Pacific Ocean...

Welcome to my quiet  Inn at Moonlight Beach, a Bed & Breakfast overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Encinitas, California - called "SoCal's Last Sleepy Surf Haven" by Men's Journal. I'm your hostess, Ann Dunham. My inn overlooks beautiful Moonlight Beach just two blocks away. There are no San Diego Bed & Breakfasts any closer to the ocean. My rooms and suites recall a lovely French Seaside Inn. Each morning I bake warm-from-the-oven pastries for you to enjoy with your home-made breakfast. All this, yet my prices are $50-$75 less than similar accommodations, even though my Inn is closer to the Pacific Ocean than any Encinitas Hotel.

"A hidden gem long the sandy shores of the San Diego Pacific Ocean, more romantic than Carlsbad Hotels or San Diego Bed and Breakfasts." ~ Thomas C. Anderson, The Pacific Traveler

Each of my rooms and suites are smoke-free, beautifully decorated, ultra-fresh and spotlessly clean. Each room has a comfy queen or king bedfree wi-fi internet, refrigerator, cable TV, and a spotless private bathroom. Make yourself at home in our sunny breakfast room with fireplace (we call it our Sunroom) any time during the day or evening. Because our rates are so reasonable and we're so close to the beach, we are generally booked at least several weeks in advance.

At sunrise you can walk along the beach for miles in either direction, or wander through our lost-in-the-1960's beach town of Encinitas, then return for a free, delicious, home-made breakfast. World famous Swami's Beach is just a fifteen minute walk down Moonlight Beach. While you're out walking or exploring, our housekeeper Vjollca will make up your room.

Awaken to the sounds of the of our meditative fountains. Drift back to sleep or take a sunrise walk along Moonlight Beach as Encinitas awakens. Jog along the beach to the world-famous Swami's Surf Break or visit Beacon's Surf Beach and watch the surfers, dolphins, and whales. Return to the Inn and relax with a cup of fresh, hot Starbucks coffee and the morning newspaper in our Encinitas breakfast sunroom or enjoy your breakfast outside in the sunshine next to our soothing waterfall.

Private Hot Tub Overlooking the Pacific Ocean
We prepare a delicious home-made breakfast for you every morning. From 8 to 10 a.m. you will find warm-from-the-oven pastries (croissants, muffins, breads), fresh mouthwatering fruits & berries (often purchased that morning at the market), orange juice, a selection of yogurt with premium granola topping and warm hard-boiled eggs waiting for you in the Sunroom (our breakfast room) with fresh-ground and fresh-brewed Starbuck's Coffee and an assortment of herbal tea. We regret that because we're a small Inn, we cannot accommodate special orders for breakfast. If you have special diet needs, we can recommend an excellent nearby specialty grocery store or supermarket.

Inn At Moonlight Beach is rated one of the TOP TEN VACATION DESTINATIONS by California Inland Empire newspaper
Pasadena Weekly named the Inn At Moonlight Beach one of its TWELVE BEST CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIPS

Sunset is a very special time at our Moonlight Beach Inn. Encinitas locals (surfers, beach-goers, children, bicycle-riders, business men and women) gather at the beaches for every sunset. It's a lovely ritual at a special time of day. Dolphins and whales are seen regularly from the high-bluff beach entrances at Swami's, Stone Steps and Beacon's Beaches.
