Nestled in peaceful seclusion atop a bluff overlooking a mile of dramatic beachfront, the Elk Cove Inn's Craftsman-style Mansion was built in 1883 by the L.E. White Lumber Company as the Mill Superintendent's home. It became one of the first Bed & Breakfast Inns on the Mendocino Coast. The inn is set back from the road, surrounded by native trees, a creek and the ocean, with private stairs to the driftwood-strewn beach below.

Northern California Coast Wedding: Standing with your beloved under the gingerbread roof of the gazebo with the Pacific Ocean spreading out to the horizon beyond is an unforgettable setting for that most special moment. Who wouldn't want to be married here on the Mendocino Coast? It's soulful, very romantic. You take away with you a gift that lasts the rest of your life.

This Mendocino Coast inn is ideally suited to small wedding parties of 30 and fewer. Elk Cove Inn can handle all the details of your special day - minister, officiator, photographer, champagne, cake, flowers. Or, if you choose to take care of your own arrangements, you can pay a site fee and we will provide you a list of local Mendocino Coast service providers. A two-night minimum stay is required on weekends (one night minimum Sunday-Thursday); we prefer that you book the entire inn if you have more than 20 people but we are flexible and will work with you to insure that your special day is as perfect as possible.
