Catalina Island Bed and Breakfasts

Catalina Island is located just off the coast of California, only a few miles south of Los Angeles, CA. It is a small island, just 22 miles long and approximately 13 miles at it's widest point. Most of the island is made up of the Catalina Island Conservancy, which was formed to protect the areas wildlife and their habitat. The annual Jazztrax Festival draws a large crowd for new Jazz musicians. Shipwrecks are a local attraction, including the Diosa del Marone, a ship which was sunk near Ship Rock in 1990. Divers are regulated by permit, but it is the best way to view the numerous wrecks in the area. Glass bottom boats also provide a unique viewing experience, along with snorkeling in the shallow waters. Surfers find a place to try their skills on the backside of Catalina Island at Shark Harbor. Catalina also has a ton of B&B’s and Catalina inns to choose from. When choosing a Catalina bed and breakfast, it is important to find one that is close to the water.
