Each morning, you'll enjoy fresh-baked breads from the local bakery, Peet's specialty coffee and teas, and fresh fruit in season. In the evenings, explore the area's spectacular restaurants and cultural events, or help yourself to tea and sherry around the fireplace. The original Ballantine architecture is complemented by the owner's collection of books, antiques, and a baby grand piano.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Nestled in one of Berkeley's most charming neighborhoods, Belrose house is just a short walk from the restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bookstores of Berkeley's upscale Claremont and Elmwood districts. Historic walking paths are a wonderful way to enjoy local architecture and the natural beauty of nearby Tilden Regional Park. We're less than a mile from the University of California at Berkeley and only two blocks from Clark Kerr campus.

GETTING AROUND

Getting around is easy. Many local destinations are within walking distance, and San Francisco is just across the Bay Bridge. Off-street parking is included with your stay, and public transit is a popular alternative. Just walk around the corner to catch the local #7 bus, which runs every half hour and connects to BART, our regional rail transit system. For more

YOUR HOSTESS

Pat Hanscom purchased Belrose House from the original owners in 1976, and has lived here ever since. She also has an antiques shop in Downtown Berkeley, and has furnished the house from her own collections.
