Country Oaks Bed & Breakfast

The Oak Room is located on the second floor of the Farm House. Large windows on three sides of this room provide views overlooking our private lake, across the courtyard to the Carriage House and the mountain which bounds the valley to the west. This spacious room features a locally crafted Stone County Ironworks king sized bed and a floor to ceiling fieldstone-faced, gas log fireplace. Two swivel rockers provide comfortable seating for reading or lounging. There is also an extra single bed for those who might be traveling with a third person. This exceptionally large room is ideal for couples who like lots of space, a honeymooning couple or, three friends or relatives traveling together.

The large private bathroom has an old fashioned claw-foot tub for soaking and relaxing and a cultured marble walk-in shower with a height-adjustable and removable hand wand. A 5-foot oak vanity provides adequate space for all your travel personal grooming items. A hair dryer and other items are available in the bathroom should you have forgotten something while packing. An ironing board and steam iron are provided in the large closet, that also has a full length mirror on the inside of the closet door. $125 per night double occupancy.

Located in the Farm House on the second floor with its own private porch overlooking the lake, the Garden Room is often the first choice of guests. Guests often relax with their first cup of coffee on the porch while enjoying the fresh morning air, watching the sunrise, and/or studying the birds and squirrels scurrying about. The room is furnished with a combination of wicker and antique pieces. The queen-sized wicker bed and two rockers are provided in the room for sleeping, reading or relaxing, and an antique armoire and dresser provide storage for your clothes.

Lamps on wicker night stands on both sides of the bed, provide great lighting for reading. Although the room air is centrally air-conditioned and thermostatically controlled, the ceiling fan can also be used to circulate air adding to the nostalgic ambiance. The spacious private bathroom has a 5' oak topped vanity providing lots of room for your personal items in the morning. The large cultured marble walk-in shower has a wall mount height adjustable/removable hand shower wand. $110 per night double occupancy.

Grandpa's Room features a queen bed and the decor is a bit more masculine. Comfortable chairs, two dressers, a small desk and lots of space are provided, as well as an ironing board and iron tucked in the large closet. This room is on the second floor and has views in three directions. The spacious private bath has a walk-in cultured marble shower with a height-adjustable and removable hand wand. The large oak bath vanity affords lots of room for all your personal items. $110 per night double occupancy.

Located on the second floor, the Kitty Room features a queen bed and great views of the valley. Lamps on either side of the bed and comfy chairs provide quiet reading time. The room is tastefully decorated with cat figurines and there's even a toy mouse hiding for the guests to find. The Sewing Room, located on the second floor of the Farm House, has a king bed and is decorated with vintage sewing machines. Nightstands with lamps are on either side of the bed. Two comfortable chairs are provided for reading or relaxing and an antique armoire, two dressers and nightstands with lamps on either side of the bed complete the furnishings. The large windows provide a great view of the mountain and valley to the west. Sunsets can be spectacular from this room. The spacious bath features a claw-foot tub and a walk-in cultured marble shower with height-adjustable wall mount/hand wand. A four foot wide oak vanity provides space for all your personal items. $125 per night double occupancy.

Grandma's room is located in the Carriage House and is our only ground floor guest room. It is a large bright room with windows on three sides and exquisitely decorated. The triple wide patio door/window combination offers a view of our private lake. The tiled floor, private bath has a walk-in cultured granite shower with a height-adjustable and removable hand wand. The four-foot wide oak topped bath vanity affords plenty of room for all your personal items. The room features an antique bedroom set, beveled, multi-mirrored panel armoire, marble topped dresser and night stand and a fleur' de' lei headboard over a queen sized mattress.

There is a reproduction settee and an upholstered swivel rocker for reading and relaxing. There are lots of lights for reading either in the chairs, or in bed. The room is decorated with memorabilia fitting with the Grandma theme, e.g., a mirrored antique hat rack with vintage hats and purses, and various framed objects which take one back to those days with Grandma. Although the room is centrally heated and cooled, a ceiling/light fan adds to the nostalgia of the accommodation. $110, per night double occupancy.

The Bride's Room, located on the second floor in the Carriage House is decorated with vintage marriage certificates, a wedding dress and Mission Style antique furniture. The antique armoire with its furniture/casket maker label provides space for hanging up clothing items. Lamps, situated on nightstands on both sides of the queen bed, provide good light for reading in bed. Other lights and lamps compliment the ambient lighting from the ceiling light/fan combination. This is a spacious room with plenty of space to spread out and relax.

The large, sky lighted, tile-floored private bath features a 'slipper' claw foot tub and a walk-in cultured granite shower with an adjustable height wall mount/hand shower wand. The four foot oak vanity provides lots of room for your personal grooming items. The Bride's room also has a small private balcony with chairs that view into the wooded area to the south. $110 per night, double occupancy.

The Children's Room is so named to reflect childhood memories, featuring vintage family photos and antique dolls, one of which Carole played with as a child. Carole's little velvet dress hangs in one corner next to a childhood picture of her in that same dress. There is also an old kindergarten desk in the room and a child's play table set with a tea set. This very large room is on the second floor in the Carriage House with a spectacular view down the valley to the west. Dodd Mountain frames the view to the south. Furniture is a combination of antiques and reproductions with a settee situated for enjoying the beautiful view and sunsets.

There is a queen bed and also a single bed for those traveling with a third person and willing to share the room. An antique beveled glass armoire provides space for hang-up clothing. Lamps on either side of the bed and elsewhere in the room provide great reading or romantic lighting if you prefer not to use the overhead ceiling light/adjustable speed fan combination. The spacious, tiled-floor private bath features an old fashioned "double ender" claw-foot tub, a cultured granite walk-in shower, and an over five foot oak topped vanity. The shower's removable hand wand is also height adjustable. $125 double occupancy.

Reservations:
50% advance deposit required or credit card number - 7 day cancellation notice required for deposit refund.
If cancellation is within 7 days, guests will be charged but have the option to reschedule for another stay within one year. If rooms can be rented for the original reservation date(s), deposit is returnable at the discretion of the owners.
