  • Insider's Info

Travelers are always looking for memorable and relaxing experiences. Let’s discover more through the words of our innkeepers. Many thanks to Ray & Kristie Rosset for sharing their own secrets with BBOnline.com!
Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

Guests seeking peace & tranquility, comprehensive pampering, and comfortable luxury choose to stay at Lookout Point Lakeside Inn. Whether coming for a special occasion or a business meeting, our folks are drawn to the beautiful inn (built new as an inn in 2003). Although our room rates may be higher than other lodging properties in Hot Springs, we package so much extraordinary value into a stay at Lookout Point! Guests return again and again due to the exquisite property, stunning views, great food, and genuine hospitality with a supreme attention to detail.

What are you best known for? What makes your inn unique? What do you love most about your inn?

I truly love this inn, because it feels whole and complete. By that I mean attention has been given to creating a beautiful space, not just in the guest rooms but also outdoors. The inn’s gardens are unique: there is always something beautiful blooming and the gardens are right on the shores of Lake Hamilton. Ahhh…to be able to nap in a hammock while soothed by the lapping waves of the lake. It’s a slice of heaven! In addition, we feature a garden labyrinth available for guests to walk and meditate. The inn was created with plenty of gathering areas for relaxation: a well-stocked library, a cozy living room, and a bright sunroom. Lookout Point has won awards for awesome hospitality, our deliberate green/environmentally friendly practices (TripAdvisor Green Hotel), and beautiful facility.

If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

Hot Springs is happening city with a plethora of visual and performing arts, festivals, and outdoor activities. However Hot Springs is MOST famous for the hot thermal waters and bathhouses, as the site of the country’s first National Park.

What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

A guest enters, and states “I’m home, and my blood pressure has just dropped!”

What’s the best kept secret about the area?

The active outdoor lifestyle available: the world class Garvan Woodland Gardens, mountain biking, kayaking, challenging hiking trails, crystal mining, fishing and boating.

If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

Four days is NOT enough time! We provide every guest with an itinerary of 5 days of activities. Here’s some top suggestions: soak in the thermal waters followed by a relaxing massage; explore the Garvan Woodland Gardens; guided tour of Lake Hamilton on the inn’s pontoon, learn area history at the fun Gangster Museum, go crystal mining, ride a fun roller coaster at Magic Springs, admire local art at any of the local galleries downtown, go kayaking, explore the hands-on Mid-America Science Museum, dine at a 5-star restaurant or a local dive, golf at famous courses, and the list goes on and on.

Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

A lovely walk in a residential neighborhood. Although restaurants are in walking distance, there is no sidewalk along the highway to reach them.

What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

Luna Bella (Italian/American fusion), only 1/2 mile from the inn.

Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

    www.HotSprings.org; www.GarvanGardens.org

How many rooms does your inn have?

We have 12 rooms plus one lakeside condo.

    Do you accept pets?

With prior arrangements, we warmly welcome dogs of any size in four of our guest rooms on the ground floor. Dogs may not stay in the upstairs/2nd floor rooms. Note: We particularly enjoy large dog guests. All dog guests receive a personal welcome note and gift.
