Our Wedding Planners help Simplify Wedding Planning 9 Apr 2013, 10:48 am

Spring is finally here and as apart of springs time activities, weddings and wedding planning come to mind. So often, I answer the phone and on the other side is a voice of a frantic Bride trying to plan a wedding. My first instinct is to help. Today I decided to posted a bit of information to help all planning an event. As most of you know we host weddings at the Angel. many of you have first hand experience of how we help our Brides and their families with their special day. I think the most important factor to consider when planning a wedding is to create way of reducing your stress. 1) Reduce planning time line. Instead of planning for your big day years in advance, select a day closer to the actual wedding date. 2) Stay focused and organized. Get your self a planner and use it. Write down notes, phone number and web sites. 3) Don't be afraid to delegate responsibilities to others. Just give up a bit of the control, pick a friend to help. It is ok...especially if you are a control freak. The best way to enjoy your wedding is to reduce stress and enjoy each and every moment of your magical journey. 4) let the experts help. If you hire a Wedding planner or decide to have your event in a place where they offer such services, stop and let the experts help you with your event. 5)Remember a wedding is about the joining of two hearts. As you might expect the Angel has been in full wedding mode her since early February helping families with their special days. Eureka Springs now considered Wedding Capital of the South host thousands of weddings each year. Travel in Eureka Springs 28 Mar 2013, 7:48 pm

There are several modes of transportation foot, automobile, taxi and the trolley. When I first moved to Eureka and saw the trolley, I thought I was in Mr Rogers Neighborhood. We are Trolley stop number 75. Transit's business offices are located at 137 W. Van Buren (on Highway 62, about 1/4 mile west
of the intersection with Highway 23N). You are able to buy your trolley tickets here as well as be
able to pick up local maps and the Visitor Information Guide.
A transit staff member is on duty to help with ticket sales and transit-related questions along
with information regarding lodging, restaurants and things to do while in Eureka.
Since this location is one of two that all trolleys pass through during the day (it is Trolley Stop
#1), this facility has been transformed to be more like the Depot downtown. The Transit Center
Lobby is now an all-weather waiting room. Or, there are plenty of benches outdoors for your
convenience. Public rest rooms are just a few steps away.
All-day parking is available for just $5.00 - and, with paid parking at either the Transit
Center or the Planer Hill Park & Ride Lot you will be entitled to a discount off the price of
One (1) adult all-day pass equal to the amount paid for parking (up to $3).
The Transit Offices are closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Day,
Presidents' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day.

Easter Blessings 28 Mar 2013, 1:31 pm

Call it Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday is not as important as the event and purpose of the resurrection. However, the timing of the crucifixion and resurrection is significantly meaningful. The resurrection of Jesus is the culmination of all things meaningful, faith and fact, in establishing a relationship with God. God used the timing, which occurred just after "Passover" and during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, to illustrate the ultimate sacrifice He made for sinners. Without this sacrifice, Christianity would be an empty religion. Every purpose of Jesus Christ, His atonement for sin, would be unfulfilled and the foundation of Christianity would fall apart. The Passover commemorates God's "passing over" the Hebrew's homes by the angel of death (Exodus 12:29). By accepting Jesus, we are promised eternal life and we are saved from spiritual death. The Feast of Unleavened Bread (verse 15) begins with unleavened bread (made without yeast) and sacrificing an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. Leavening represents the escape from bondage and sin. Jesus is called the Lamb of God through whom the only escape is possible. Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection are God's provision for the perfect and final sacrifice for man's sins. God requires no other payment for sins! With this provision, mankind is granted opportunity for new life by the forgiveness of sin and escape from its bondage. It is ours for the mere acceptance of this gift. This is the key event in the New Testament where it is proclaimed throughout. All four Gospels report the miraculous event. In Matthew 28:6 the angel declared "He is not here: for he is risen!" Mark 16:6 reports "'Don't be alarmed,' [the angel] said. 'You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.'" In Luke 24:46-48, the risen Jesus gave His disciples a greater understanding of the resurrection when He told them: "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things." Jesus foretells of His resurrection in John 16, then to one of the doubting witnesses, Thomas, He says the following in John 20:29: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." While Jesus was admired and praised as a teacher, healer, and for performing miracles, He was put to death on the cross. But God raised Him from the dead. Had the witnesses not believed what they saw, Christianity would not have spread across the globe and remained a profound belief to this day. For those interested in history or the Civil War you will be close to Pea Ridge National Military Park. It has a visitor center and a museum. You take a self guided driving tour and stop at different points of interest to learn about the largest Civil War battle to take place in the West.
The road is large and safe enough for those who wish to bring their bikes. The self guided route includes marker, maps and structures.
A park volunteers provides candid and interesting tales of the events that took places on the sacred grounds.
Marked by a sign, part of the park share the The Trail of Tears (Trail of relocation and movement of Native Americans, including many members of the Cherokee, Creek, Seminole, and Choctaw nations among others in the United States, from their homelands to Indian Territory (present day Oklahoma) in the Western United States)
