Cliff Cottage Inn’s elves are thrilled that the Inn has just been named to the list of Arkansas’ Best B&B Romantic Getaways by Dream Vacations Magazine.
Emily Dickinson Suite’s bedroom in The Artist’s Cottage
As the magazine said in awarding this distinction: “When the entire city (Eureka Springs) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its almost fairy tale-like Victorian beauty, you can expect quite a few treasures. Cliff Cottage Inn is so magnificently preserved and renovated that you will feel as if you’ve been transported to the romantic Victorian era of horse carriages and damsels in distress. It is a dreamy place for a romantic getaway or even an elopement.”
We are very proud of the inn’s luxurious accommodations, which range from beautifully restored and elegantly furnished suites in our three contiguous historic houses to our stand-alone cottage  featuring a private hot tub  on a deck overlooking downtown. The Individual cottage has a fully equipped kitchen for whipping up your own exquisite meals while all our private entry suites include an award-winning sumptuous gourmet breakfast delivered by the Inn’s elf each morning right to your suite. All include a complimentary bottle of vino or bubbly chilled and waiting in your fridge.

Mysteries including the Nazca Lines will be discussed at Eureka Springs UFO Conference 4 Apr 2016, 11:28 am

April 8th – April 10th 29th Annual UFO Conference
Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center, Hwy 62, Eureka Spring
According to organizers, the 29th Annual UFO Conference promises to bring thought-provoking new information about the other worlds around us. For registration and full schedule of events visit http://www.ozarkufoconference.com/ Single tickets to speakers will be available for purchase at the door.

Innkeepers Carl and Sandra are looking forward to attending the talk by one of the conference keynote speakers, Erich von Daniken, who will discuss many mysteries including the Nazca Lines in the Nazca desert of Peru which Carl and Sandra explored in 2011. The innkeepers took an 8-hour bus ride across the Nazca Desert in Peru to get to the amazing site of this series of ancient geoglyphs. Once on location, they went up in a private plane to survey these incredible drawings in the desert sand. Each drawings is almost as big as a football field, including one of a monkey, another of a dog, a fish and an astronaut as well as many more. Among other mysteries, von Daniken will discuss similar designs found on other continents. All over the world, humans have created gigantic pictures of such enormous size that they can only be seen from the air. Nazca guides told Carl and Sandra that many who have dedicated their lives to studying these lines believe they were created as maps for extra-terrestrial spaceships which they also say landed in the area. Daniken will display photographs taken over Nazca which have never been published before. He believes the designs on Earth have to do with old writings.

Born in Zofingen, Switzerland, Erich von Däniken was educated at the College St-Michel in Fribourg, where, as a student, he studied ancient holy writings. He wrote his first book, Chariots of the Gods, an immediate bestseller in the United States and Germany, and later in 38 other countries. Sandra read the book when it first came out and put the Nazca Lines on her “bucket list”.

Conference organizers shared that in the United States, Erich von Däniken won instant fame as a result of the television special “In Search of Ancient Astronauts,” based upon his first book. In 1993, the German television station SAT-1 started a twenty-five part TV series with and by Erich von Däniken, entitled “Auf den Spuren der All-Mächtigen” (Pathways of the Gods). In 1996, the ABC Television Network produced a one-hour special, filmed all over the world, entitled “Chariots of the Gods – The Mysteries Continue,” which was first broadcast in America on September 26, 1996. ABC produced another documentary with Erich von Däniken on the Discovery Channel. In Germany, the biggest TV network, RTL, showed the film on November 26, 1996. 7.7 million viewers in Germany alone watched the program. In February 2001 the British Television Network Channel followed up with a biography of Erich von Däniken which has since aired all over the world.

Keynote Speaker von Däniken will explore a multitude of mysteries from ancient civilizations of the past, including the inscriptions on the Temple of Edfu in Egypt and its comparisons with the Second Book of the Kings in the Bible, the newest discoveries inside the great pyramid itself, the sarcophagus of Sekhemkhet of the 3rd dynasty of ancient Egypt, and a new translation of a 4300-year-old Sumerian text proving Extraterrestrial contact. In his lecture, Erich von Däniken will pose the following questions and more: was there a war in the heavens? Did Extra-terrestrials have sex with humans? Why should ETs look similar to us? Are we the offspring of an Extraterrestrial species? Did the gods create the humans “in their own image?” If so, which gods? And what about the distances between the stars – is it even possible to travel throughout the universe?

Von Daniken will also be featured speaker at the April 4th – April 7th 11th Annual Ozark Mountain Transformation Conference, also to be held at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center A unique metaphysical and spiritual gathering with a psychic fair, both conferences are open to the public. For more information on either conference contact: Shonda Garrison @ 479-738-2348 or shonda@ozarkmt.com
