Originally built in 1933, the Adobe Rose Inn Bed and Breakfast is located in the historic Sam Hughes neighborhood in Central Tucson, just two blocks east of the University of Arizona (UA). Nestled in this architecturally diverse neighborhood, the Adobe Rose Inn is an ideal stop for vacationers, parents of students, and professional travelers.

The Adobe Rose Inn B&B offers 6 unique rooms, all with private baths. Amenities of the B and B include swimming pool, spa, and wireless internet (WiFi). All rooms are fully appointed with private bathrooms, cable TV, hair dryers, robes, irons, ironing boards, and coffee makers replete with gourmet coffee, teas and hot chocolate. Some rooms have fireplaces, microwave ovens, and mini-refrigerators.

For vacationers, we are within walking distance of many of Tucson's attractions, including museums, shops, UA and restaurants. Because we are centrally located and close to major highways, visitors can easily access many of Southeastern Arizona's parks, caverns, artist colonies and golf courses.

The professional traveler can walk to UA, drive to downtown in 5 - 10 minutes or to the airport in 20 minutes. Our wireless internet connection enables the professional to catch up on e-mails, while our quiet neighborhood aids in getting a good night's rest. Marion and Jim Hook are excited to be the innkeepers of the Adobe Rose Inn. Both feel that their previous careers have been invaluable in helping them establish one of the most sought after bed and breakfasts in Tucson.

Marion worked in the field of education, both domestically and abroad, for more than 30 years. For the past 2 decades before coming to the Adobe Rose Inn, she developed programs for international guests of the US government. Her work often involved hosting international dignitaries for an evening, a weekend or several weeks. She even prepared and served lunch to former Indonesian President Habibi.

Jim worked in the people side of Information Technology for over 30 years as a systems designer, as a management consultant, and as a sales executive. Several themes have been consistent throughout Jim's diverse careers - excellent, high quality customer service; flexibility and enjoying people.

Marion and Jim's interests include travel (they've traveled to 15 international countries and most of the States in the US), lively conversation, food, global events, and blues, jazz, and rock 'n roll. They welcome the opportunity to host you at the Adobe Rose Inn and make you feel welcome in their home.

The Adobe Rose Inn is known for its irresistible, 3 course breakfasts. Upon request, we proudly serve delicious vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free breakfasts. We also accommodate guests who have food allergies or other dietary restrictions. The Adobe Rose Inn also manufactures a delicious Buttermilk Scone Mix. From I-10, (from Phoenix)

• Take Exit 257 (Speedway) and go east on Speedway Blvd
• To Campbell Avenue, approximately 2.5 miles
• Continue through the intersection of Speedway and Campbell, go two blocks to Olsen Avenue 
• Turn right and go 2 blocks to 2nd Street 
• We're on the Southeast corner of 2nd and Olsen

From I-10 (heading West from Willcox)

• Exit at Campbell Avenue/Kino Parkway
• Follow the street North past Broadway Blvd. to 2nd Street 
• Turn right and go two blocks to the corner of Olsen and 2nd Streets

I came by myself and never felt alone. What a wonderful experience for a "first timer" to Tucson. My time here was wonderful and although I am sad to leave my son at UA, I leave with a sense of retreat and relaxing that I have not experienced for a long time.
