In north Scottsdale, near Pinnacle Peak and the town of Carefree is a luxury 6,000 square foot Southwestern/Mediterranean house, which has been featured in a variety of books and on PBS. A well-known southwestern architect designed this contemporary adobe home like a work of art with every line softly curved. No expense has been spared with the main house and two 1,000 square foot guest cottages, which are decorated with a blend of comfortable furnishings and artwork from the Southwest, Mexico and Spain. A well kept lawn and palm trees surround the swimming pool area. The swimming pool is for seasonal swimming, and there is a large heated outdoor spa and private tennis court. In pleasant weather, breakfast is served on El Portal, a lovely covered patio area with a sofa, fireplace, and view of the pool area. There is also a barbecue area, which has two barbecues, a table for six, a refrigerator and counter. Ten golf courses are within eight miles. Fine dining and shopping nearby.
