DIRECTIONS FROM BIRMINGHAM
Take I-20 East. Exit on Hwy 207 #165 at the Lincoln/Embry Exit. Take a right going south. Go 7.5 miles on 207 to Hwy 34. Cross Highway 34 - You'll see a Chevron Station there on the right. Continue on Hwy 207 for 2.6 miles more until you get to Joe Gamble Road.
Joe Gamble is 2 miles long and will dead end into Griffitt Bend Road. Take a right. Go 2.92 miles to our driveway which is on the left (the house is also on the left).
Our mailbox (3883 Mixon, this is on top of the mailbox) is across the road from our house. You will see a long stretch of the lake on the right (mailbox side). Our house is a 2-story taupe house with white trim and a shiny steel roof.
Park temporarily at the top of the driveway and come to front door and knock loudly, open door and yell Richard! (I'm used to being yelled at).
DIRECTIONS FROM ATLANTA
From Atlanta, take I-20 west. Go through Anniston, pass Munford/Coldwater exit, pass Lincoln exit (Highway 77). The next exit should be the Embry Lincoln exit #165 for Hwy 207. Go left (south) onto Hwy 207, and go approximately 7.5 miles to Highway 34. You will see Handy Corner convenience store on the left and Chevron on the right.
Cross Highway 34 and continue straight on Hwy 207 for 2.65 miles until you get to Joe Gamble Road. This one will sneak up on you because the street sign is not right up on the road. There is a mini warehouse storage facility on the left and Joe Gamble is just across from it on the right. Turn right on Joe Gamble road and go 2 miles until it dead ends into Griffitt Bend Road.
Take a right onto Griffitt Bend Road. Go 2.95 miles to our driveway which is on the left. Our mailbox, 3883 Mixon, is across the road from our house. You will see a long stretch of the lake on the mailbox side. The bed & breakfast is on the left up the hill and is a 2-story taupe house with white trim, lots of windows, and a shiny metal roof. Park at the first section of driveway and come to the front door, knock loudly. If you will call when turning on Lincoln Embry road, we will watch for you.
DIRECTIONS FROM MONTGOMERY
Take I-65 north to exit 212, Lay Lake Dam Highway #145 on I-65 north (Clanton exit). Turn right off of exit ramp, go 2 miles and jog north (left) onto 145 - go 26.2 miles and intersect with County Road 61, continue for 2.6 miles to Wilsonville.
Turn right onto Highway 25 (in Wilsonville) and go 4.3 miles to Highway 76 and bear right (north) and go 5 miles to Highway 280.
Turn right on 280 and go 1 mile to Highway 235. Turn left (north) (an Exxon station will be across the street from the Pizza Hut).
(If coming from Auburn, Alex City, or Sylacauga - Turn right (north) onto 235 at Exxon station.)
Go past Bowater Paper Mill on the right. Cross railroad tracks. Continue for 3 or so miles, passing the prison boot camp on the right.
Turn left at the Beaunit Store. This is still Hwy 235. Slow down to cross railroad tracks. Road changes to Hwy 191 (same road, different number.) Pass Logan Martin Dam Road on the left and Alpine Bay Golf Course on the right. Cross the bridge.
About 2 miles past the bridge will be the Trinity Lighthouse Church and Griffitt Bend Road on the left. Turn left onto Griffitt Bend and proceed 3.883 miles to our house. You will see an open expanse of the lake on the right and across the road from the lake is the house. The black mailbox reads 3883 Mixon on the top of it.
The house is taupe with green shutters and a shiny metal roof.
DIRECTIONS FROM 280 SYLACAUGA
From Sylacauga, take 21 North through town and pass Blue Bell Ice Cream, go past Winterboro High School (this will be several miles after going through Sylacauga) and go to 2nd left.
There will be a turn sign Highway 207 North. This will dead end in 2 to 3 miles at Alpine post office (on left).
Turn right and go 300 yards and turn left (this is still 207; it just makes a dog-leg). Immediately cross railroad tracks and continue to stop sign (4 to 5 miles).
Continue straight through stop sign (still 207) to next stop sign (this is also 4 to 5 miles). Hepzibah Baptist Church is on your left. Turn left at this stop sign. Go past the BP Station (Cotton Patch) (approx. 2 miles from Hepzibah) and bear right onto Griffitt Bend Road (Trinity Lighthouse Church at this intersection).
Go to mailbox 3883 MIXON (which is 3.883 miles from this turnoff.)The mailbox is black and has 3883 Mixon on top.

DIRECTIONS FROM 280 HARPERSVILLE
From Hwy 280 go north on Hwy 231 in Harpersville. Go through Vincent. Obey the speed limit unless you're adding to your traffic ticket collection.
Stay on Hwy 231 until you are one mile north of Vincent. Take a right on County Road 60. (There will be a sign pointing to Logan Martin Dam.) This road will wind through a lot of trees. Follow this road until it dead ends into Logan Martin Dam Road (Hwy 54.)
Go right on Logan Martin Dam Road, and cross the dam. Go right at the Y. Go to the stop sign. This is Renfroe Road or Hwy 191. Go left.
Pass Alpine Bay Golf Course. Continue across the bridge until you get to Trinity Lighthouse Fellowship on the left. This is Griffitt Bend Road.
Turn left on Griffitt Bend Road, and go about 3.8 miles until you get to a wide clearing of the lake on the right side of the road. Our house is a 2-story light tan house with white trim and a steel roof on the left side of the road just across from this clearing.
DIRECTIONS FROM 280 CHILDERSBURG
Travel Hwy 280 to Childersburg until you see the Exxon Station across the street from Pizza Hut.
Take a right on Hwy 235. Go past Bowater Paper Mill on the right. Continue on 3 or 4 miles, passing the prison boot camp on the right.
Turn left at the Beaunit Store. This is still Hwy 235. Slow down to cross railroad tracks. Road changes to Hwy 191 (same road, different number.) Pass Logan Martin Dam Road on the left and Alpine Bay Golf Course on the right. Cross the bridge.

DIRECTIONS FROM I-20
From I-20, take the Embry Lincoln exit (Hwy 207, exit 165). Go left if coming from Atlanta, or right if coming from Birmingham (south) onto Hwy 207, and go approximately 7.5 miles to Highway 34. You will see Handy Corner convenience store on the left and Chevron on the right.

Park at the very top of the driveway at the end of all the concrete (unload at main house first if you desire.) Come to front door of house on porch and knock loudly. -

The Inn has a den with a loft and 22' ceilings
with 20' glass view of the lake.
The neighborhood lends itself to a laid back country setting and may be enjoyed to its fullest on golf cart rides... or you may want to make the most of nature by walking a mile of wooded trails passing through 10 acres of hardwood forest. An amazing, elevated view of Lake Logan Martin may be enjoyed while soaking in a hot tub that seats six, or you may prefer to enjoy the fire pit while enjoying the lake view. Lake activities may be enjoyed along with moments of peace relaxing on a white sandy beach scattered with colorful beach umbrellas or lounging on a float under the fountain/sprinkler in the lake.

Talladega is approximately 50 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama. The city is home to the Talladega Superspeedway and the International Motorsports Hall of Fame. The South is known for the friendliness of the people and their gracious manners. This atmosphere is evident in our City of Talladega. Located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain range in the East Central area of the state, it is in easy driving distance of Birmingham and Atlanta, Georgia.
