    Slip away from the worries of the world and relax in the Cabin at the Lodge.

    The Lodge is a beautiful spacious log home, in which the property owners live. "The Cabin", a brand new bed and breakfast, is a 900 square foot private log cabin decorated in primitive antiques. It has its own private entrance, and private porch complete with rockers. The Lodge and Cabin are nestled in a wooded area with a look, feel and atmosphere much like Gatlinburg, Tennessee.  Enjoy the lake and the wildlife seen daily. In addition to the bed and breakfast, The Cabin at the Lodge offers special event hosting.

Come in from a day of sight seeing and shopping, rock awhile, go fishing in the lake or sit on your porch and watch the deer at their feeder… take a deep breath… and feel your worries disappear.

    This brand new Bed & Breakfast is the perfect setting for your romantic get-a-way.  Decorated in primitive accents, this cabin gives you the warm homey atmosphere of an era long ago while including the luxuries of today.

    Relax on the porch
    Complete with its own private entrance, private porch and rockers, it features a spacious living room, stone fireplace, flat panel 32” television with satellite TV, DVD player, a leather couch and 2 leather recliners for your relaxation. It has a large bedroom, decorated with an Amish handmade cedar log bedroom suite, with queen size bed. The Cabin sleeps 2 but if you have additional overnight guests, there is a plush extra long roll-away bed for your convenience.  The bedroom has an oversize walk in closet.  It also features satellite TV as well as a DVD player and a VCR.

    Cabin
    The cabin has a full size fully stocked kitchen including refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, pots and pans, dishes etc. There is a full size private bath with tub and shower, complete with linens. The cabin adjoins the main house through a large 10’x24’utility room where laundry facilities are available upon request.  Wireless Internet is available anywhere in the cabin as well as the porches and the patio.

    Your favorite breakfast items will be placed in the kitchen waiting your arrival for breakfast at your convenience. Please let us know of any special requests and we will be happy to try and accommodate you.

    The Cabin at the Lodge is located approximately 5 minutes from Rickwood Caverns State Park. It lies in between the Hayden and Corner areas of Alabama and sits on 12 acres including a 1.5 acre lake with a look, feel and atmosphere much like Gatlinburg Tennessee.

    2000 square foot stone patioThere is a 2000 square foot stone patio great for entertaining which includes beautiful lighting as well as 3 outdoor fireplaces and a commercial size grill for your convenience. There is a 2-tier deck complete with electricity and lights for relaxing and or fishing at night.

    Beside the lake stands a beautiful 12’X14’ cedar log gazebo ready for anything from a wedding to just relaxing by the water. Nestled in the center of its 12 acre wooded surroundings, The Cabin at the Lodge is a perfect location for a photo shoot. Fall brings the colors of Tennessee home to Alabama. Visitors are always welcome.

    Why do most travelers stay at your inn?

    1. Location. We are located within minutes of I65 and convenient for those traveling thru the area.
    2. We are very unique and unlike any other BnB in our state. You don’t just get "a room", at The Cabin at the Lodge, you get the whole cabin, the property and the whole experience! A Gatlinburg experience in Alabama.

    What are you best known for?

    We are best known for our southern hospitality and relaxing atmosphere. Our cabin mixes primitive antique with luxury and convenience.

    What makes your inn unique?

    There are many places to see and experience on the property allowing you to step back in time. We enjoy changing the decor with the seasons to give you that special feeling of staying in a log house in the woods.

    What do you love most about your inn?

    I love that we have created our business without influence from any other BnB and that it would be difficult for others to copy what we've done.

    If someone has never been to your city, what is the #1 reason to come visit?

    We are not located in a city but in a rural area with in a short drive from the city. The number reason to come to our BnB is to "GET OUT" of the city!

    What’s the best compliment you have ever received about the inn?

    The best compliment we have received is from a customer that referred to us as "A hidden treasure".

    What’s the best kept secret about the area?

    WE ARE!!!

    If a traveler is staying at your inn for 4 nights, what should he/she do in the area?

    We live in a location that is within a short drive to two major cities, Huntsville and Birmingham AL. There are also interesting small towns and places to visit such as Cullman, Al or Rickwood Caverns State Park. There is antique shopping, great hunting and fishing, covered bridges and places to just relax.

    Is there anything within walking distance of your inn?

    Other than our property, including a small lake, there is not really anything in within walking distance.

    What is your favorite restaurant/food in the area?

    There are a few local home-owned restaurants in the area. One of my favorite restaurants is a unique little Italian bistro in Cullman serving a nice wine and great Italian food! There are also major restaurants such as Outback, Chili’s etc within 30 minutes of the property.

    Any good area guides/websites that travelers could reference?

    We provide our customers with travel brochures to MANY locations in the area. We also have free wifi to aid in their search for interesting things to do.

    How many rooms does your inn have?

    Our inn has one full size 900 square foot fully stocked cabin complete with living room kitchen bedroom etc.

    Do you accept pets?

    We do, on occasion, accept pets; However we ask our customers to call first to make special arrangements with us.

     

  • The Pavilion - Special Events

    The PavilionThe Cabin at the Lodge offers a variety of amenities for hosting your special event.  We are excited to bring you our latest edition to the property.  “The Pavilion at the Lodge” offers a 24’ X 66’ rehearsal / reception venue, complete with weather panels that can be lowered in the event of inclement weather  It features a full size kitchen including stove, refrigerator, microwave, caterers work station and a full serving counter, designed perfectly to feed your guest quickly and orderly.  The Pavilion has a stone fireplace and a wood burning heater for those chilly nights It features a 55” flat-screen television complete with Direct TV Satellite and DVD player.  There is a DJ / band stage area and a bar area.  The pavilion can seat approx 80-100 guest at 5’ round tables or 175-200 guest in chairs only. The Pavilion at the Lodge is perfect for your Wedding Events, Holiday get-togethers, Family Reunions, Football parties on the big screen or any event you enjoy.

    The 2000 square foot patio provides a perfect setting for family reunions, cookouts, receptions or parties.  Evening events are extra special on the patio, with its ambient lighting giving the grounds a warm and glowing atmosphere.  Enjoy the cool evenings of fall by the 3 outdoor fireplaces.  If you enjoy fishing, our lake is stocked with bass, brim and catfish ready to be caught. There is a 2-tier deck complete with electricity and lights for relaxing and or fishing at night.
