Located in a National Register of Historic Places Neighborhood, know as the Five Points Historic District, the recently restored Victorian Inn known as Cobb Lane Bed and Breakfast has been a prominent home in the Birmingham community for 108 years. The home was built in 1898 by the local tax collector, Mr. Bingham, and was his private residence on Nabob Hill, the high status neighborhood on the hill overlooking the young City of Birmingham below. Since then, eight bathrooms were added as moldings and original details were lovingly restored to create the Cobb Lane Bed and Breakfast. Soon after, the Inn received a coveted "Preservation Award of Excellence" in 2005 by the Birmingham Historical Society.

Old house enthusiasts and historic bluffs will enjoy the varied architecture of this restored home and its neighborhood in the historic Five Points and nearby Highland Park and Redmond Park historic neighborhoods.
