Do bring your camera to photograph the wide variety of native birds that inhabit this area of the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy the hummingbirds who feast on our feeders. Our cat, Harry Potter, will make you feel welcome as he often escorts guests around the trails. Our Boar goats are entertaining and friendly, especially the kids. Don't forget to walk down to Sunset Point and sit on the bench to watch the spectacular sunset. The skies in the Willow City area are magical at sunset. Be sure to bring binoculars to see the both the wildlife and the stars. And, if you're into biking, don't forget to bring your bikes because we've got plenty of not frequently traveled roads so you may safely pedal about. Drive the back roads (often covered with wildflowers including Texas Bluebonnets and Indian Paint Brushes) to Luckenbach (25 miles), Johnson City (22 miles), the LBJ Ranch (19 miles), Enchanted Rock State Park (18 miles, the Bat Tunnel (28 miles), Bell Mountain Winery (7 miles), or the Wildseed Farms (24 miles). You're in the middle of it all and there's lots to do and see. |
