Tea Room

Robin's Nest is available for private teas. Rates are based on a price equal to a minimum of 20 persons, i.e., you can have fewer persons; however, there is a minimum charge). The sample menus below are but a few dishes in our repertoire. If there's something else you have in mind, please ask. The sample menus below are $23.50 per person plus gratuity and tax. They are sectioned by category, and are suggestions for a delightful, very satisfying, tea, usually served from 2 to 5 o'clock p.m.

The High Tea British tradition is a late-afternoon or early evening meal, usually quite substantial. It originated in the 19th century as a simple, early workingman's supper. High tea can be served buffet-style or at table. It includes a variety of dishes such as various meat and fish dishes along with buns, scones, crumpets, biscuits and jams, as well as assorted sweets and, of course, lots of hot, steaming tea. (Robin's Nest includes a complementary Port and/or Sherry). We've included one of our menus below. The cost is $48.50 per person plus gratuity and tax. It's really quite a spread and an unforgettable meal for Americans. A High Tea is a superbly original idea for that special person in your life.
