Introduction

Robin's Nest stands between the skyscrapers of downtown Houston and the miracles of the Texas Medical Center. The Inn resembles a small, European first-class hotel wed to the ambience of a restored, inner city American Victorian bed and breakfast inn.

Local legend has it that the 1898 Victorian farm house was the first house built in what is now an urban mecca called the Montrose and also designated as Houston's Museum and Arts District. Houston's major museums, art galleries and universities surround us. Excellent restaurants in all ranges are within walking distance.

entrance Robin's Nest is a restored 1898 Victorian that naturally exudes a warm hospitality that is private but welcoming, romantic yet serviceable, decorated without reserve, yet all is functional. Long leaf pine hardwood floors lay throughout the house in tall rooms that are spacious but cozy, with their companion windows meeting the tree line.

Strikingly beautiful, interesting and copious fabrics adorn the Inn. Our eight guest rooms feature top-of-the-line beds with featherbeds atop, private baths, small refrigerators, cable tv, clock radios, wireless Internet, and desks. A coffee/tea station is just outside your door for a nice cup whenever the need arises.

Robin's Nest is an inviting place. Our philosophy is that we all deserve to be pampered from time to time. We don't fuss over you unnecessarily but want you to feel special as our guest. We have a beautiful parlor for your enjoyment, and the timeless wraparound porch is perfect for watching the world go by or enjoying breakfast on a pretty day.

Weddings Robin's Nest is an excellent choice for small gatherings including weddings and receptions, teas, luncheons, bridal showers, and business meetings/seminars. This 1898 Victorian naturally lends itself to creative spaces and pleasant moments. Typically, events number up to 35 people, depending upon the configuration of the gathering. Robin's Nest can cater the food or not. We can provide the facility only if you wish. We also have Murder Mystery Parties, which have proven to be very enjoyable. The plots are imaginative and the scripts are fun.
