Sherwood Forest
The Sherwood Forest guest room is The Most Private room in all of the 1895 Tarlton House choices. Entering the house at the east front door, you ascend the two flights of stairs to reach the third floor. Turning right, down the hallway you enter the Sherwood Forest. This gabled room is on the west end of the house. Having 2 Queen beds and one Twin bed, this room offers families a place to stay, or is ideal for Girlfriends Getaways. Or a pair of singles can each have a queen bed. Regardless of the group, all the beds face the center of the room, a room made for talking and laughing, even all hours into the night, since you share no walls with another bedroom. Swinging from the ceiling fan and running down the hall is discouraged, however. The private bathroom has a shower with a 4-setting massage showerhead, and also has the longest clawfoot tub you've ever seen, tucked back in the rose-garden branches, where you can soak your weary bones as long as you like. $25 per person after the first two people.

English Rose Tower
The English Rose Tower Suite rests in the prominence of the castle wall, guarded by Sir Gawain and Sir Galahad. The Rose Tower ceiling is 9 feet high, while the gabled sitting room is just enough to walk in. The private bathroom has a shower with a 4-setting massaging showerhead. The sheets and pillowcases in the English Rose Tower Suite are 1500 thread count, compared with the average household sheets with 200 thread count per square inch. These super soft sheets are 100% Egyptian cotton fiber and in gold color to match the decor of the castle tower. We thought they were made of gold when we purchased 3 sets for this room. However, by price-comparing several sources, we paid a lot less than the $899 per set retail price!

Lotus Blossom
The Lotus Blossom has one double bed and one twin bed. The room is ideal for single guests, or a couple with a child sharing the room, with one's own bed. Come and be enchanted by the Eastern decor of the Lotus Blossom. Looking out the south windows is an expansive view of two of Hillsboro's leading churches, the spire of First Baptist Church on the right, and the tower of First United Methodist Church on the left. The in-room efficiency bath has all the features you need. The sink is in an antique bureau cabinet. The clawfoot tub is very long, so you can soak, soak, soak. Or use the shower if you like. Arigatou!
