| Introduction |
| The Star of Texas Inn is now open for business! We proudly offer a relaxing place to stay in central Austin. The Inn is located near downtown and the University of Texas. The Star offers a nice place for travelers of all types, whether honeymooners, business travelers or folks just getting away. The Inn features a large wraparound porch, and above that, a balcony that overlooks the neighborhood. Either is perfect for lazy afternoons. |

The Star of Texas Inn offers a total of nine guest rooms. All of our rooms have private bathrooms, cable TV and DVD players. We also have a wireless internet connection that reaches all of the rooms, and several of our rooms have desks for doing work. The room numbers start at 10 to avoid confusion, because rooms 1 through 9 are at our sister inn, The Austin Folkhouse, across the street. Rates range from $109 to $225 double occupancy. Each
additional person is $15 per night. Breakfast at the Star is always good and is either made-to-order or served as a buffet. Sylvia usually puts out a sweet dish, a savory dish, fresh fruit, orange juice, bagels, and more. Of course, we always serve hot coffee! The Star of Texas Inn's parlor is available for meeting people or just hanging out. |
