Introduction
Welcome to Southern Stables Bed & Breakfast...
This home is the most recognized home in Lufkin, a beautiful colonial style home built in 1966 by a prominent Texas State Senator. The home is conveniently located on loop 287 on the north side of Lufkin and is a short trip, less than 15 minutes, to any location in Lufkin. Nacogdoches is less than 20 minutes and Lake Sam Rayburn is just 20 minutes away.
One of the many unique and beautiful aspects of this home is the natural wood tongue and groove wall paneling in the sitting room and in the breakfast room made from locally grown Knotty Pines. The western flavor of the decor makes for an amazingly relaxed atmosphere.
With most Bed and Breakfasts you're there to comfortably spend the night with nothing else to do. At Southern Stables, we have a Theater Room where you can kick back and watch your favorite movie or sporting event. We have a Game Room for a friendly game of pool. Maybe you'd like to just kick back in Grandpa's favorite place, the Garden Room and enjoy the scenery while watching the horses and Texas Longhorns graze in the pastures. There are many varieties of wildlife that come to visit as well. We often see Whitetail Deer, raccoons, Red Tailed Hawks, geese, birds galore, and on several occasions a Bald Eagle just to name a few. If you like, you can even help us feed the livestock, or just take a walk on the property.
Southern Stables Bed & Breakfast is located in Lufkin on Loop 287 (Hwy 59).
The Bed & Breakfast is the perfect setting for Business Travelers, Private Parties,
Weddings, Receptions, Birthdays, or just a Romantic Getaway.
