Most of us will never wrangle an invitation to stay at Kensington Palace, or at one of the royal family's country estates, but you'll definitely find that staying in our English Room is about as close as you can get. The English Room is an elegant room, done very much in an English antique style. First of all, there is a wonderfully large, four-poster bed that you'll feel like getting lost in.

Sun Room

The predominant color scheme of the Sun Room is yellow and blue, with Spanish tile and accents throughout the room. The Sun Room actually consists of two separate rooms, a sitting alcove and a separate bath. The bedroom in the Sun Room suite contains a queen-size highbed and matching chest in the Spanish Colonial style. The shower features a normal shower, a hand-held shower and three body jets -- all of which combine to give you an invigorating experience.

The second room in the suite is the sun room proper, which is reached through an alcove entrance from the bedroom. The sun room itself is a bright comfortable room, surrounded with windows on three sides, and contains ample seating for reading and relaxing to the soothing sounds of an indoor fountain.

The French Room is decorated with a blue and yellow colour scheme, and has stained glass accents. The room has a private sitting area, ideal for curling up with a good book or just relaxing after a day in the city.

Guest Information:

• Rates: Room rates at Ruckman Haus range from $85 to $120 per night for single or double occupancy. Please inquire for rates for larger parties. Corporate Rates for midweek stays are also available.
• Securing Your Reservation: Reservations can be made at Ruckman Haus by supplying us a major credit card (MC, VISA, AMEX, Discover), or by sending us a deposit (check or money order). Final payment at checkout can be made via any of these methods or in cash.
• Cancellation Policies: Cancellations must be received no later than 7 days before arrival. There is a $10 cancellation fee. Cancellations received less than 7 days before arrival will incur a charge equal to the single night rate for the room reserved. We understand that plans must occasionally change at the last minute and so, as a courtesy, we will make every effort to rebook. If we are able to do so, we will only charge the standard cancellation fee of $10.
• Check-in and Check-out: Guests may check in anytime from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Please call ahead of time if you wish to check in earlier or later so we can make arrangements to receive you. Check-out time is noon.
• Pets: Being pet custodians themselves, your hosts are familiar with traveling with their pets. Please inquire about your own needs at the time you make your reservation and we will make every effort to accommodate your own special friends.
• Smoking: For the enjoyment of all of our guests, we permit smoking only outside the house- on the patio and deck and on the the grounds.
