Come on Friday night and you'll find our special "Enchanted Evening" all set up and ready... A gourmet snack basket waiting for you, with an array of plenty of goodies to last the weekend... Breakfast in bed on Saturday morning (late breakfast can be arranged!)...a massage... picnic lunch poolside or in your cottage...a dip in the pool or hot tub...A dinner basket (as simple as home fried chicken to a more elaborate filet mignon dinner ) for Saturday night... Breakfast in bed again on Sunday to top off your weekend. You'll leave rejuvenated and relaxed ready to tackle the world! $440, plus service charge, in addition to your room rate. Let us prepare a custom gift or snack basket for your enjoyment, or the enjoyment of someone you know who is to be a guest at Mariposa Ranch. Snack baskets are placed in the room upon arrival and are filled with summer sausage cheese, crackers, popcorn and other salty snacks, candies, cookies and your choice of beverages or complementary wine or beer. Our lovingly prepared baskets are loaded with specialties such as sliced marinated filet of beef or fried chicken, bread, fruits, cheeses, potato salad, dessert and your choice of beverages or complementary wine. All packed up in our picnic basket (please return!) for you to take poolside or your favorite spot here on the ranch, or maybe to the banks of the Brazos River at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park or nearby Lake Somerville. Sunday - Thursday $89 single/double occupancy in "Innkeepers Choice" of accommodations. This rate applies to our rooms in the Plantation House (Brazos & Tejas), the Homestead (Austin & Travis) and the suites in the Independence House (Sam Houston & Davy Crockett) and is the Innkeeper's Choice of rooms. If you request one of our private cottages or cabins with Jacuzzis-for-two and fireplaces (Fern Oaks, Texas Ranger Cabin, Bunkhouse and Cowboy Cabin) and IF ONE IS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF YOUR ARRIVAL, the rate is $109. Does not include breakfast but you CAN upgrade to a full breakfast for $15.00 per person. Please understand that, at this special rate, you will be guaranteed a room, but not a specific room. The delightful "ENCHANTED EVENING" board game for two is set up and ready to be played at your convenience and level of comfort. It is a romantic game of fun, laughter and beauty and designed to help you remember and share the things that made you fall in love in the first place. Mariposa Ranch recommends the "ENCHANTED EVENING" for a beautiful wedding night, anniversary, birthday, as well as those just wanting to recapture those original "butterflies" again. Most nights we can offer gourmet dining, including complementary wine, to our guests. Call us at 979/836-4737 for information, menus and availability on the evening of your choice. Seating is limited. Gift certificates are available. Advance reservations of at least 24 hours are apprecited.
