Mariposa Ranch Bed and Breakfast is located on a 100-acre working ranch on the historic La Bahia Trail, and offers our guests a choice of accommodations, including houses, cabins, and cottages, most with fireplaces and some with a Jacuzzi-for-two, all historically significant and lovingly restored and furnished in what could be called "casual elegance". Most accommodations are suites or cottages offering our guests the utmost in privacy and comfort.
Breakfast is a sit-down affair at Mariposa Ranch (unless, of course, you opt for breakfast in bed). Specials include such treats as Texas Ranger Baked Eggs, Brazos Baked French Toast, Hill Country Baked Apples with Lemon Cream Sauce and Divine Pears with Raspberry Sauce. Guests sit at elegantly laid tables and share antiquing tips, festival and concert information and sightseeing agendas. After countless requests, I have finally agreed to write a cookbook, written from my heart and filled with a collection of my most requested recipes and family favorites. I hope these recipes bring you and your family as much pleasure as they've given us all these years. Enjoy!
Accommodations in eight buildings include two large rooms in an 1870 Plantation home, an 1820 log cabin, a quaint cottage, two luxurious suites in an 1836 Greek Revival home, a turn-of-the-century Texas farmhouse (the original homestead on this working ranch), a ranch hand's bunkhouse, a cozy settler's cottage, and a real cowboy cabin. |

We offer sleeping arrangements for up to 44 people and can coordinate all your meals, as well as arrange for private wine tasting parties, massages, gourmet cooking classes, or whatever else you can think of!
