Come to The Lighthouse and catch the breeze and relax on
the wrap-around front porch, swing in the swings, rock in a rocking chair,
take in the view from the gazebo--great places to have
your morning coffee--or to listen to the birds or the night sounds in the
evening.
Rates are based on double occupancy and do not include
taxes.
Certain discounts may apply, please inquire.
Extra person charge over double occupancy--$25 (requires
special arrangements: please inquire).
Rates include breakfast for all guests.
Notice: We have only a limited amount of space
for children, so reservations requiring rooms for children should be made
early. THE LIGHTHOUSE is not an appropriate setting for pets.
A delightful breakfast is served, usually in the formal dining room--with
china, crystal and old linens--on a candle-lit century-old dining table.
Sometimes the occasion calls for breakfast on the porch or in the gazebo
and will probably feature some of Jan's home-made
banana nut bread or made-from-scratch cinnamon rolls.
The wonderful attraction of the dining room is the old 1880's dining table, chairs, and sideboards. At one time these were brand new pieces in Jan's great
grandparents' home and we have memories of eating off this table ourselves
when we first married and visited her grandparents when it was in their home.

Reservations: Deposits and guarantees
You may guarantee payment for the room(s) and date(s) you reserve with your credit card number or by sending full payment by check or money order. We accept all major credit cards (Discover, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Carte Blance or Diners Club). If not guaranteed by credit card, reservations will be held for ten days until your payment arrives. Once we have your credit card number, check or money order, written confirmation (preferably by e-mail) will be sent guaranteeing that we will hold the room(s) for the date(s) requested.

You will be charged the full amount for your reservation if the cancellation occurs less than 14 days prior to your check-in date. Again, we allow six months to reschedule and use the reservation if you are forced to cancel late. We do not want to appear unsympathetic to your circumstances, but we only have a few rooms and must enforce this policy without any exceptions. The same holds true for early departures. Please don't reserve dates unless you expect to pay for them.
Cancellations: Refunds and policies
For cancellations, we require a 14-day notice in advance of the date
reserved, which means you must notify us by 6:00 p.m. on the 14th day prior to your check-in date. We do require a 30-day cancellation for group reservations. There is a $10.00 service charge for each room cancelled. This service charge is refunded if you reschedule and complete your reservation within six months.
We also have a policy of no smoking and no beverage alcohol.
No pets.
We try to allow your check-in at the time best suited for our
guests. Please notify us of your approximate arrival time so we can
schedule our other activities and still be present when you arrive.
