Kemah is located on the Gulf Coast of Texas and is the home of some great Kemah bed and breakfasts. Be sure and inquire about local B&Bs and popular Kemah inns, both offering great accomodations for your visit. The Annual Christmas Boat Lane Parade takes place every December. It is a parade of more than 100 beautifully lit and decorated boats travelling through Clear Lake and up Clear Creek Channel to Galveston Bay. The Blessing of the Fleet has been a 40 year tradition. Decorated shrimp boats and pleasurecrafts pass by as they are blessed by an officiating priest and minister. Kemah Boardwalk is a 40-acre waterfront entertainment complex that features restaurants, shops, and a carnival area with amusement rides. It has recently been named one of the top 10 boardwalks in America. The Johnson Space Center is a short drive from Kemah. Located on the plaza at Kemah Boardwalk, Aquarium Restaurant has a floor-to-ceiling, 50,000-gallon tank filled with colorful coral, sharks, stingrays, and over 100 species of tropical fish, right in the middle of the restaurant. The Kemah Crab House offers East coast-style seafood, with a local twist.
