The Heart of Texas Bed and Breakfast Owners Association
Belton, China Spring, Cranfills Gap, Crawford, Hillsboro, Lake Whitney, McGregor, Mexia, Waco & West
16 unique and distinctive bed and breakfasts located throughout the Heart of Texas.
The Heart of Texas Bed and Breakfast Owners Association was formed in the spring of 2000 to provide a network for B&B owners and innkeepers. The Association is working to promote awareness of the benefits and advantages of staying in the area Bed and Breakfast facilities. The unique accommodations available at the various member sites is worth mentioning here.
Historic Waco Suspension Bridge
There are B&Bs in the downtown Waco area, some that are just on the edge of town, some out in the country on farms or ranches, creeks, rivers, and some that are suburban and in other nearby cities, some to the west, some to the east, some to the north, and some to the south. There is one adjacent to the Baylor campus, several near the Convention Center, one near the Waco Airport, several just off Interstate 35, one very near the President George W. Bush ranch, one near Lake Whitney, and each one is unique and distinctive, offering something very special to the guests who are welcomed graciously by capable innkeepers. All inns in McLennan County and the adjoining counties of Hill, Limestone, Falls, Bell, Coryell, and Bosque are eligible for membership in the Association.

Unique shopping areas
Dates for the building of the various structures which house these establishments are both historic and recent. The oldest were built in the late 1800s, several in the early 1900s, another in 1924, and some more recently. There are many different designs, styles, and features in all these houses. The architecture is as varied as the names.
And there is also a wide selection of accommodations, services, guest rooms,
etc. You may rent the whole house, or you may choose from sites that have anywhere from 1-17 bedrooms, and most of those will offer private baths and
lots of different amenities. That is another reason for this particular
feature of our Bed and Breakfast association--we offer some information with
some links available to various member B&Bs so that you can find what you
are wanting. And many of the inns will offer everything from phone numbers
to website addresses to online reservation services to e-mail addresses
where you can ask specific questions, regarding specific needs, and the
availability for specific dates.
