Introduction
Built in 1905, the elegant Grace Manor features exquisite stained glass, exotic woodwork and striking antiques. Luxurious amenities are seamlessly blended with Victorian grace. Located in Galveston's East End Historic District, Grace Manor is considered one of the top architectural structures on the Island and is the perfect setting for that special event, social function, or romantic getaway!
Gorgeous stained glass is a hallmark of the house. The entry doors and transom feature an oleander motif, while the dining room presents a gorgeous grape arbor design. Distinctive crown moldings and crystal chandeliers add to the richness of the rooms. The spectacular staircase of Philippine mahogany leads to the guest room level and is dominated by two double hung, breathtaking stained glass windows on the interior walls. The doors are all of long leaf pine, and there are old-fashioned push button light switches in many of the rooms. The four guest rooms are elegantly appointed, all with king beds and beautiful antiques.
Breakfast is a scrumptious feast! Served in the luxurious dining room with candlelight and soft music, guests are delighted with a full gourmet fare of seasonal fresh fruits, homemade breads, casseroles and quiche, breakfast meats, and vegetables. Fresh juices and special coffees are a wonderful complement to the pastries and dessert.
Awaken each morning to aromatic coffee and fresh juice awaiting you in the Hospitality Suite convenient to your room. The suite also offers a refrigerator stocked with complimentary sodas and bottled water, as well as a microwave. Cookies, warm from the oven, are an afternoon treat, and chocolates always appear just before bedtime.
Magnificent Canary Island Date Palms welcome guests to a garden filled with colorful Hibiscus, exotic Bird of Paradise, and glorious Orchid Trees. Inhale the sweet, sultry smell of Night Jasmine. Meditate under the sprawling Pecan Tree or admire the colorful Bougainvillea. Enjoy the soft breeze and the view of the horse-drawn carriages on Post Office Street as you revel in the tranquility of the wraparound porch.
