Introduction

Named after the fantastic art collection found inside, The Austin Folk House is a wonderful new bed & breakfast centrally located in the historic West Campus neighborhood. It is minutes from The University of Texas, The Texas State Capital, The Governor's Mansion, Town Lake and Downtown Sixth Street. The building, which was originally constructed in 1880, was recently renovated so as to afford modern comfort and convenience without sacrificing historic charm. The rooms are decorated with lovely old antiques, but there is certainly no bad plumbing to worry about in this B & B! Best of all is the Texas-sized gourmet breakfast served daily.

All nine guest rooms have either king or queen sized beds, private baths, private phone lines with voice mail, cable TV and VCR, robes and fine toiletries, and many other fine amenities. The house itself is beautifully decorated with antiques and a large collection of folk art. We have lived in Austin for years and look forward to assisting you with any questions, requests, or recommendations you may have. Please see our sister inn across the street, the Star of Texas Inn.

Rates range from $109 to $225 double occupancy. Each additional person is $15 per night.
All major credit cards, checks, and cash are accepted.
Cancellations made 72 hours prior to stay receive no penalty. Within 72 hours, one night's rate will be charged unless room is rerented.
Smoking allowed outside only.
