The city of Drippings Springs, often referred to as the "Gateway to the Texas Hill Country," is located in Hays County, Texas. It is described this way because of its Rolling hills, beautiful rock bottom creeks, abundant wildlife and majestic views. The city has a population of about 1,100, which makes it a perfect B \u0026 B destination. A Dripping Springs bed and breakfast would be relaxing at any time of year. There are also many activities throughout the year that you can enjoy. The Cajun Shrimp Boil and Pound House Fall Festival is celebrated in September. It's a time to experience the tastes and traditions of early Texas. Along these lines there is also an 1850\u2019s pioneer home complete with original log cabin, see spinners at work, soap being made, a Civil War medical unit, and other demonstrations of pioneer crafts and skills. Something else to enjoy in the summer would be taking a dip in Hamilton Pool, a charming natural deep water pool with waterfall at the Gateway to the Texas Hill Country. In addition to staying at a Dripping Springs inn, there is an opportunity for fun and fine dining here. Rolling In Thyme Dough is known for Amazing desserts, as well as the BEST sandwiches in town, and if you visit, be sure and get their iced tea, they will put fresh fruit in it, and it tastes like paradise. Iron Works is where you order your meal from a window that looks into the open kitchen, and you watch as they cut your slab of ribs; slice off a piece of brisket, or whatever. Any way you slice it, Dripping Springs is a place where you can visit to escape the rush of everyday life.
