In its third century on Galveston Island, this charming 1887 Queen Anne Victorian surrounds every guest with warmth and friendliness. Coppersmith Inn features antique-filled rooms and a spectacular winding staircase highlighted by stained glass windows and cobalt blue transoms.

The home was designed by Alfred Muller a renowned architect from Germany, for Howard Carnes the cashier of the Morgan's Louisiana and Texas Railroad and Steamship Company. The second owner, Paul Shean was a coppersmith from Ireland, hence the name Coppersmith Inn.

Located in the Lost Bayou Historic Distric, six blocks to the beach and seawall!

Guest Rooms/Rates
The Carriage House - Large suite featuring private staircase entrance from garden deck, whirlpool tub for two, king size bed, cable TV/VCR, CD player, private bathroom, sitting area, and queen size sleeper sofa. $153 - $170 per night, double occupancy. $25 each additional adult.
Clara's Country Cottage - Private cottage featuring king size bed, double bed loft, cable TV/VCR, CD player, private bath with antique tin bathtub, and separate sitting room. Children are welcome in the cottage. $135 - $150 per night, double occupancy. $15 each additional child, $25 each additional adult.
Victoria's Room - Features queen-size bed, neo-classical fireplace, private bath, antique sink and claw foot tub, and verandah overlooking the front garden. $117 - $130 per night, double occupancy.
Jasmine's Garden Room - Features large bay windows, king size bed, comfortable decorator couch, antique armoire, and private bath. $117 - $130 per night, double occupancy.
Heather's Rose Room - Features heirloom antiques from the 1870's, queen size bed, Art Nouveau armoire, large bay windows, and private bath. $113 - $125 per night double occupancy.

Summer weekends (May through August), holidays, and special events: $125 - $170 per night; (two-night stay required). Ask about our seasonal rates, and special weekday rates. No smoking, no pets, and no children in main house. Full country breakfast included.
