Axis Cabin

Snooze in the comfortable queen size bed with country quilted bedspread. Window treatments through out the cabin match the bedspread. The hand crafted cedar lamps are fashioned in wood taken from the park. Framed photos of park wildlife grace the bedroom walls. Bring your favorite movie to watch on the wall-mounted VCR/screen. You may choose to select one of the G-rated films available in the Welcome Center and Gift Shop at no charge. The ample bathroom has a large shower. Linens, towels, hairdryer, and amenities are provided.

You'll enjoy the creative cabin décor. The interior is natural tongue & groove pine; the floors are warm Southwestern terra cotta tile. The vaulted ceiling has rough hewn pine cross beams and ceiling fans. The intimate dining area is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner. Southwestern hangings decorate the walls. The small, fully equipped kitchen has a coffee pot, oven /range, microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. You may prefer to cook out on the charcoal grill provided (charcoal included).

Intimate Dining Area The spacious front porch has a ceiling fan, comfortable chairs and a beautiful bench. Bird watching from your front porch is a must. Guests have reported spotting blue birds, scarlet tanagers, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, jays, and finches. Birding literature is available in the gift shop.

Picnic beside the bubbling fountain in the natural pine forest just steps from your porch. Snuggle beside the evening campfire (firewood provided). The Axis Cabin has a queen bed and two built in bunks and will sleep up to four.
