Introduction

Located between Austin and Marble Falls, Texas (24 miles west of 620 & Hwy 71), this restored turn-of-the-century log cabin rests on 26 acres fronting Lake Travis.

Chanticleer is rustic bliss in the hill country, dedicated to privacy, relaxation, and simple pleasures. Step inside to a queen-sized bed drapedwith crisp, sun-drenched all-cotton sheets, fresh from the line (weather permitting). Along with central air and heat, there are ceiling fans and screened windows that can be opened for those cool nights. Soothe your soul in the claw-foot tub with a variety of fragrant bath gels and soap, thick towels and cozy bathrobes. Your cabin is stocked with snacks, books, magazines and games.

The oak-shaded private porch beckons you with its comfy pillows and log furniture. So grab the binoculars hanging inside and watch the countryfolk that include birds, deer, chickens, and those cuddly miniature donkeys in the field that is your front yard.

Steps away is a hammock for two and a screened porch with a stone fireplace. Enjoy cool evenings in front of a fire with cozy blankets and pillows in the adirondack chairs…spend some time roasting marshmallows we have left nearby. In the morning, your yummy continental breakfast will be waiting for you here."

Venture to the garden and its waterfall-showerhead outdoor shower (cold water only). There is a supply of towels, bath gel and shampoo waiting for you.
