Tip #241 - Travel Light

If you are planning to only be away for a short time and don't need to bring too much stuff, then you might want to consider just taking a carry-on luggage for your flight. This will save you loads of time when you get to your destination because you won't have to wait at baggage claim. Carry-on's are also less prone to getting lost or stolen, and most airlines charge a fee for checking in a bag. Make sure your bag fits the airline's restricted size and weight dimensions, and that you are cautious about what items you take with you. With tighter security restrictions nowadays, you do not want to take anything that can be considered a weapon.
