Tip #85 - Don't broadcast that you are a tourist

There are plenty of things you can do to avoid being pegged as a tourist: don't dress in loud, colorful clothing (ex: wearing a "I Heart NY" shirt in New York); don't stop on the sidewalk and hold your map in front of your face; be discreet when getting your money out--go to the restroom and take out just enough for the transaction you need it for; and don't put your home address on luggage tags, use a business address or your destination's address.
