Tip #65 - Avoid Motion Sickness (Seasickness and Carsickness)

Motion sickness can occur in any moving vehicle--a car, a boat, a plane--but wherever it strikes, it's awful. Symptoms include nausea, dizziness and just a general feeling of not being well. Don't let motion sickness ruin your trip! In the car, make sure to sit in the front seat and do not read while in motion. In a plane or boat, try to focus your attention on the horizon, many people swear by that remedy. Get plenty of fresh air (if possible) and avoid alcohol or any food that is spicy or fatty foods. It's always a good idea to bring an over-the-counter medication with you, such as Dramamine.  Remember to take motion sickness pills before the trip commences.
