Tip #47 - An Educated Traveler is a Happy Traveler
A good travel book can make (or break) your vacation. But not all travel books are built alike and the publisher of a great book on India may not be the one who writes the best book on Alaska. Do your homework : an hour reading reviews on the Internet could save you days of angrily wandering the streets looking for closed hotels, restaurants that only serve breakfast, and museums that are closed on Wednesdays. And if you're doing it all by car, consider buying a separate road map. Nothing will sour the mood like driving in circles for hours on end.
